This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [900], of ... St., N.Y. City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read them to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had before.
3. In the physical forces of the body we would apply those conditions that would bring in the physical body the near normal equilibrium in the nerve forces and in the digestive system, for there is seen that the drosses of the body are little by little overcoming the abilities of elimination. Hence these continual laggy, achey, dull feelings, as if the body was insufficient to contain the whole being - the dullness of headaches, and this condition in the feet as irritated by these give rise to those of the necessarily increased eliminations.
4. We would have two to three (2 to 3) thorough adjustments, with THIS as prepared to take FOLLOWING the adjustments - not taken until after this is given, see?

   Tincture Valerian......................1 ounce,
Elixir Calisaya........................1 ounce,
10% solution Iodide Potassium.........40 minims,
10% solution Bromide Potassium........40 minims.
Sufficient Elixir or Cordial to make 6 ounces.

   Shake solution together before dose is taken, which would be teaspoonful night and morning, see? By the time half to two-thirds of the quantity is taken the body will be feeling physically fit, see?
5. (Q) Just where should the adjustments be made?
   (A) General - for the whole of the eliminating system needs to be stirred up. Hence the necessity of taking same before there is added any of the vibratory forces of internal medicinal properties to set about better conditions for the body.
   Ready for dreams.
6. (Q) [Morning of 5/02/27] I wanted to have the baby [142] taken away from the breast and the answer came: "He is thriving alright. What more do you want?"
   (A) Showing to the entity, then, that the wishes or the conditions should be preclusive to the physical mental action of the body, see? for the variations - as has been given - is to meet the needs of the extremes, see?
7. (Q) Morning of May 3, 1927. I dreamed that I had dreamed of a rise in copper stocks and that Howe Sound Copper would go up to between 42 and 45. I told [137] and he was elated. I also dreamed that I dreamed of some stock that was or would be cornered and go up very spectacularly. This I also told [137] and he bought 200 shares of whatever stock it was and subsequently sold the 200 shares for between $1000 and $1200 a share. It was a huge profit and [137] was very delighted.
   (A) Anaconda Copper. In this condition there is seen that the entity, the body consciousness, the variations in the mental conscious and of the subconscious, is as presenting that beforehand, as it were, that the body consciousness had viewed, thought, or considered, see? Hence we find again another application to the entity of lessons or conditions as are being presented in the study of the phenomena or phases of life. In applying, or in material side of same, there is seen that this particular or individual stock represents to the entity that there has been the change in these conditions as respecting the contemplated or the downward trend in the market, and while there will the spectacular rise, there will be - as yet indicated - the spectacular descent. Copper, as it were, then being in this present condition of rise or variation, the criterion of this particular rise. Be guided, guarded, directed, then, by same - using these figures as are seen in the advance, or in the amounts as to that which the entity may expect the rise or the variation. Be satisfied, then, with the small - not expect to gain ALL in one deal, see?
8. (Q) What is here meant by a cornered stock and the huge profit taken at $1000 to $1200 per share?
   (A) That is as given, that there is to be the spectacular rise and the spectacular descent in this particular period, see? (May) and while the changes are in effect, that this particular stock as seen is as the criterion; that is, copper, see? The cornered meaning then - and the price or variation meaning then - that the rise and the fall will be of the spectacular nature, as does such conditions from cornered conditions or cornered stocks.
9. (Q) Anything here indicated about market in general as regards any change in the break down in prices we anticipate this month?
   (A) As given.
10. (Q) Many seemed about me listening to me tell them of the functioning and economic value of the N.Y. Stock Exchange. Voice: "You don't need to tell me of the why's and wherefore's of the exchange. I know its functioning process or the workings of its machinery."
    (A) Rather then is the indication seen to the entity that as is indicated in the vision, that the entity should gain from the lessons as have been given as respecting the market, rather than explaining or using such, as it were, for the edification of the forces through which the entity is applying same, see?
11. (Q) Morning of May 4, 1927. I was listening to a conversation or being spoken to. I heard: "It will be alright if he [137] covers the Ajax at 10 1/2 or better. Doubt if he can do it though."
    (A) This is as the mental forces, rather than that of the subconscious forces in the entity forcing, as it were, on self as regarding these particular conditions, see? for this as is indicated in the numbers, and in the stock itself, will show that these are to reach a much HIGHER, rather than lower level, see?
12. (Q) My own subconscious reasoning or another's viewpoint talking to me?
    (A) Own subconscious reasoning - rather that of mental than of a subconscious reasoning, as given, see?
13. (Q) Still listening to some in conversation. One of them asked: "What degree of consciousness does he possess?" One of them answered: "About that possessed by Smith when he fell off of his horse and died."
    (A) Again an illustration to the entity as regarding the various forms of consciousness as exist between life and death, or between that subjugation of the body consciousness of that as is indicated in the vision, or in that as is spoken concerning. As long as the consciousness of Smith - body seen, see? which was the reality - was within the body - the being subjugated - the physical forces were conscious, yet incapable of expressing same to those about, yet - hovering about this same physical consciousness - the consciousness of the body Smith capable of entertaining, understanding, seeing, and not knowing why consciousness about were not able to understand or be directed by that as given, see? Same as is seen or understood by this entity, in studying the various forms or phases of consciousness, see?
14. (Q) This conversation took place between whom?
    (A) The entity and itself. The ego and the subconscious self. The entity and the ego.
15. (Q) Smith, one of the world's leading and wealthiest financiers did die from a broken neck from a fall from a horse. What is here indicated in this relation?
    (A) That as given.
16. (Q) Is my degree or breadth of consciousness about the same as his - or in other words my potential development and his about alike? [137] anything to do with this?
    (A) Not referring to the individual, or to the body consciousness of this entity. Rather that as is being studied by the entity of how that information is given to the entity, and of how the entity, [900], receives same,or how the entity, [900], is able through its consciousness to give succor, aid, strength, or understanding to another consciousness not in the material plane. See? Not to deal with the mental development, or mental consciousness of an individual, yet showing to this entity, this body, [900], that same position or condition of consciousness that is understood, desired, needed, or is applied IN the various phases or forms of such a study.
17. (Q) One of them spoke directly to me, saying: "You have the fever. Before six o'clock to-morrow evening you will feel it."
    (A) Again referring to the physical condition, as has been outlined and given for this body for the correction of same. Follow it out. This will be corrected.
18. (Q) The same group of conversationalists. One of them recommended the purchase of Delaware Lackawana R.R. stock. I didn't seem to want to buy it just now. I was expecting that May break. Yet the stock market is higher and stronger than ever.
    (A) Rather the indication as has been given for the entity, that, when there comes the variations in such - through conversation direct or from someone else - same is to be studied by entity, and THROUGH self obtain that action through which the entity will be guided, see? for it will purchase Delaware and Lackawana.
