This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of July, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mr. [900], Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [136], Mr. [39] and Mrs. [37], Mr. [195], and others.

TEXT

1. [900]: You will have before you the bodies [137] and [900] - [137] in Deal, N.J., ... Ave., and [900] present in this room - and the study they are making of the numerical system so often given, and the application [137] is making of the numerical system on the floor of the stock exchange. You will answer questions pertaining to this.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, of [137] and [900], and the study and the application as being made of such. Now, much has been given as respecting the value of those conditions as have been set by man to represent the various numbers as are known by man in the attempt to separate various conditions, or the various actions of individuals, things, or principles, and - as is seen by the study and by the application of these as individuals - these apply much in the same way and manner as has been given, and again in application of that as is received - and of that of which each become cognizant, or gain the full consciousness of - knowledge is attained, and with knowledge applied there comes understanding, and with an understanding the results of same. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Does a so-called mark-up of a stock to the figure six (double strength) affect the normal psychological effect of the stock?
   (A) To be sure - for those forces as are set in motion to cause a so-called mark-up to be created have set in motion that double strength toward the advance or decrease, depending upon that that has caused such force to be put into action, see?
4. (Q) Does this mean that a stock touching six must go to ten, at least?
   (A) Must go to ten, provided that that force set in motion is of the factor that is of the advancing force, see? that is, there are those forces as are seen in the activity of those that would produce a so-called mark-up for an effect, when their actual actions would be the reverse. Hence the only modification as to that sure advance from the double strength to ten is the intent and purpose of that causing such conditions to come into existence. The same is seen when these are presented in fractional conditions such as are seen in five-eighths, each becoming then the factor towards an advance, see? for five, with the strength, the weakness; yet eight with the multiplied weaknesses of the division - cause, as we see, more often than otherwise, the expected turn from such conditions. Nor is there one condition that long remains at five-eights - there immediately is the change upward or the change downward, very fast.
   Apply these, as has been given, using that as has been emanated through the study of these - and meet Pye! [GD's note: D. W. Pye [David Warfield Pye?] whom EC knew in 1921-22 during his oil field activities? Evidently EC had told [900] and [137] of Mr. Pye and his former interest, and the possibility that he would help in furthering the work now.]
