This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of November, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; [900], Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. Cayce and Mr. L. B. Cayce.

TEXT

1. [900]: You will have before you [900], present in this room. You will divide this reading regarding [900] into two parts. First that of the interview granted [900] two or three nights ago by Elbert H. Gary, or that entity who in this plane was called Gary, in which he spoke to him regarding stocks, which I will present to you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [900]. This we have had here before.
3. There are many various conditions that are presenting themselves to the mind of this body for answer respecting the various phases of phenomena as being studied by this body. Many divisions may be made of these various studies. Those particular divisions - or division as pertaining to interviews from individual or individuals - are of particular interest at this time to the body in that the body is desirous of using such information in secular way and manner, also of using the spiritual application of such an interview in a way and manner that others may understand more fully the oneness of the life that an entity (notice NOT body, see?) experiences through the various phases of life and the application of the various laws that appertain to such experiences, whether in the material plane or cosmic plane, for the sooner it is understood consciously that all these are one - or perhaps better to say that all these experiences relate so one to another that the impulse of even the sensuousness of a material entity is governed, depending upon its relations in other senses to conditions existent in WHATEVER plane they may become conscious of being in. Get that! See? Ready for interview.
4. (Q) Gary spoke to me saying, "What good is there in sitting on that stock White Motors?" Then he said, "I understand it is about a thousand dollars I owe you on the loss taken. Take Radio into consideration. Durant knows about this."
   (A) This, as we see - here we find that the cosmic consciousness of an entity views from this plane those conditions in the material plane, and the changes as occurred in same (the oppression is fierce!), and in this plane gives that consciousness to the entity [900], the recognized change as came in material conditions, using or signifying by same in terms as are in keeping with PHYSICAL understanding of such conditions. Giving also other commodities that are to be considered by the entity as the means for the recovery of such conditions. See?
5. (Q) In this stock given - Radio - correlating with what has been given, that next week a downward movement would again set in, will it set in in Radio, or does that condition not pertain either any longer or to this stock?
   (A) Rather that this unsettled condition, of which the body consciousness has been warned, and which the consciousness sees outward indications of such changes as might bring about such conditions. Then, as given, not to buy, not to sell, but to study those conditions relating to this given stock. That this, then, is to be an active commodity or stock, or prices on same. Hence study same. See?
6. (Q) Secondly he pointed out that either Harvester or American Tobacco, or both, would or might go to 242.
   (A) This, as has been given, is the price or that of the point that is set by groups to carry these two commodities. Even with the changes - as has been seen - these will come about. Even as through these same sources there has been pointed out to the entity those conditions as regarding other stocks, such as rails in L & N and Southern, that these would reach some high points. These, as we see, show some indications of having reached to those points in their finality of the group carrying forward that as expected or intended to by the group. So in this commodity, or these two given, there is to be that condition brought about, see?
7. (Q) These two stocks will fight the trend, regardless of a downward movement? Is that what is meant?
   (A) That's what is meant. Not that these will not break when others break, but the trend in these two is to hold toward that point. Yet in their breaking may break as thoroughly, or as generally, as any. Hence the study as is given that the entity, the body, the consciousness of the body gain as respecting the conditions.
8. (Q) Would be well to buy only on breaks?
   (A) Buy only on breaks.
9. (Q) Thirdly, American Safety Razor to 73, yet the next night he said to me, "I meant Razor to be sold Friday. That is why I gave you Razor."
   (A) This, as we see, again that understanding that the entity gains from the consciousness in which it speaks from as respecting physical conditions. Showing, then, even that one with the broader scope of understanding may meet those elements in the cosmic sense that brings the change in the action of individuals in the material plane. Hence those injunctions in the first that these various conditions are of the same emanating forces that bring about these changes in their reflection in physical action. Hence respecting this particular commodity, we find that the variation comes, and the entity warned in time that there may be no harm, as it were, to the activity of the body respecting these conditions.
10. (Q) That is, in spite of what others say, this stock is going down?
    (A) Going down.
11. (Q) Then what did 73 mean?
    (A) The 7 and the 3, the variation as is seen between these conditions as existent and those as given for consideration in the activity of the particular stock. See?
12. (Q) Now, in the second part of this reading - By the way, I heard here said, "The oppression is fierce!" This in itself is an example of the spirit communication as I take it; that is, this reading. I have noticed in my own experiences times when the connections seemed good, and other times when BOTH interviewers struggled to reach each other but I couldn't sort of get it. The connection was poor.
    (A) This is illustrated by the attempt to speak or communicate over poor connection as with the phone, where interferences of poor connections, poor subjugation, poor eliminations of other conditions surrounding bring about oppressions, or the attempt of many to bring their voice as to that given, or the attempt to subjugate to such an extent that no voice speaks through the channel left open, and we hear words yet they mean little to those that are not wholly in attune to that being given. Hence we have oppressions, and often such conditions bring physical oppression to those transmitting such conditions. Hence the old application of that full attunement necessary for the complete or perfect at-oneness with that as desired.
13. (Q) What is causing the oppression here?
    (A) Desires of so many to speak.
14. (Q) Yes - while I'm writing often the same thing happens - they all crowd in.
    (A) Correct. The activity of conditions may be illustrated well by this conditions: There is often seen in a group where the conversation may be general. An individual speaking causes - from seemingly some unknown sources, except by that which is caused to arise in the minds of many of those present - all to speak at once. Again we find that all are as spellbound by that being said, and it is rare that such a speech is not just as important when holding all spellbound as when causing all to speak. What causes this? That of the same relativity of forces brought bear on the individual experience of each entity in its attempt to reflect that as it gains from that being STIRRED UP in its own experience. See? We are through for the present.
