This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of August, 1929, in accordance with request made by Mr. [900] and Mr. [195].

1. LBC: You will have before you minds of [195] and [900] and their introspective experiences apparently relating to how vibrations may be used to radiate curative vibrations, or that relate to the experiments contemplated in conjunction with [165] with respect to health rooms. You will interpret these experiences, and advise if they do refer to health rooms with respect to curative radiation and answer questions regarding same. [Waited for EC to answer, but did not - so LBC continued reading.]
2. (Q) [195]'s experience seemed to be that all vibrations are already in the atmosphere or in space in various degrees of attentuation. That plants get, say iron, iodine, and other properties, both from vibrations existent in the air, as well as from those existent in the soil. Is this correct, and is it a correct interpretation so far?
   (A) So far, correct.
3. (Q) [195], after studying the various methods of sending curative vibrations from a solution in a sealed glass jar suspended in a wet recurrent battery, was presented with the idea that curative vibrations could be placed and induced into a health room by making a recurrent battery, and passing the healing vibrations through a circuit in which there existed a spiral net work. The healing vibrations would then be carried through with a very low, say 5 ohms. By those diffusing light vibrations through this net work, the healing vibrations could be induced into the atmosphere of a room, creating thereby what we call a health room that would act as a curative for some specific disease. Can this be accomplished?
   (A) Now, in this presentation there is seen much of correlated forces with the mental attributes of the body [195], rather than introspection from other sources. This rather the evolution of the mental forces of the body, for these pertain to DIFFERENT usages. In the fact, as presented, that vegetation obtains its sustenance from air and soil, correct - but there is seen that each has its effect one upon the other; that is, there must necessarily the soil for the plant to obtain sustenance from the air. In the same manner as is presented in that of a low vibration of powers from sealed medicinal properties that have been previously charged, must be in direct connection with the vibration of the body - and there is then a current of vibration passing from the body to the charge as emanates into the body through the opposite pole. These becoming vice versa in the same manner that air or rain refreshes plants that are within the soil. With that vibration set up by the seed itself, in its natural growth, or LIFE is sustained in this cycle of vibration. Now, in relation - as this has to health rooms - as is given, these may aid, but must of NECESSITY be in direct contact with the BODY for the vibration to be effective upon same, see? This, then, would not be carried in light rays, or be effective in its principle upon the body in the form of curative values, in the same manner as being first charged by a vibration that sets certain elements needed in the system into such vibration as will be carried into the system, or taking from system that lacking that will add the vibration as has been supercharged. We are dealing with the same PRINCIPLE, but are being approached from different angles! These should be kept entirely separate, until EACH are DISTINCTLY understood in the various spheres that they act in.
   As is seen in that as is seen introspectively by [900]¹, this is rather understood, that while the forces as come through electronic vibrations in the manner as is presented are of one energy, and come from the one energy - yet these are acting in ENTIRELY DIFFERENT manners! These may be made to coordinate and cooperate one with another. The light or health rooms - the rays of light carrying certain properties rather as the diagnostic effect upon the BODY from medicinal properties, but to carry same INTO the body there must be the body connection with a current of sufficient nature and character as to force one to coordinate one with the other, see? This comes to a HIGHER essence of vibration. While true all force in nature, all matter, is a form of vibration - and the vibratory force determines as to what its nature IS - that given by the cell itself, from which it produced - as is seen in all matter in the earth's plane. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Is it along these lines that the Board [165] is forming may organize to experiment to bring into existence health rooms?
   (A) This not compatible with that just given. It is along this LINE, yes - but its FAR along the line. Both have their place. Both may be made one - but it will be a long experimentation FIRST in each! Then correlated, one with another.
5. (Q) Any further advice you would give us at this time?
   (A) Much may be said about this, as has been indicated these are two separate and distinct conditions! These are seen, that they may be made one - but these should be understood as a unit, and each considered in their respective sphere. Each have their duty to perform, as the various elements have had to do with man and man's experience that has brought those elements in the life itself that bring those detrimental effects or actions in the physical body, that the various vibratory forces as are set up have their respective places. Just as any of the combinations of those in medicinal properties or powers have THEIR respective forces. Just as mind or matter has its part in man's existence, so does vibration - whether electronic or of light only. Both are electronic in action, but the word itself does NOT indicate the variation. Yet their variations are entirely different. Just as the effect upon plant life has a varying effect by the manner in which light or vibration may have its effect upon same in its growth. For instance - this may illustrate to the understanding of [195] and [900], or those interested, and it may be thoroughly demonstrated - or experimentation may be made:
   A plant treated by a low form of electrical vibration will - kept from the light, but given moisture and air - will extenuate itself to a greater extent than when allowed light - BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REPRODUCE ITSELF - see? What's cut off in same! While the same, without electrical vibration - save as LIGHT itself, WITH the other forms with same - are able to bring that which reproduces itself. So in the treatment of conditions in man, as relative to those that bring detrimental effects, where electronic energy - for, no matter what the form of disease as may be, it is a form of energy attempting to attach itself to, or a formation from a destruction improperly, or overactive within the system. One is then to DESTROY a form of life. The other is to CREATE a form of life, to destroy the destructive forces within or without - see? We are through.
