This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of October, 1929, in accordance with request made Mr. [900].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the books and business associations of [900]-[137] Bros., N.Y. City - the bodies and the enquiring minds of [137] and [900] - and especially the account of [195]. You will give advice to these bodies, in keeping with the intent and purpose of the bodies as related to their work, and especially as related to their work with the Ass'n of Nat'l Investigators, Inc., advising as to the best course for them to pursue at this time.
2. EC: Yes, we have those conditions as surround these bodies - [137], [900], and [195], also the intent and purpose and relations with others and the Association. In the present situation [approaching stock market crash?], there should not be lost sight of that promise as has been made and given these respecting how each, in their respective position, would be given that necessary to meet the conditions as they arise. There is seen that each have already, intuitively and introspectively, received such instructions, and while not wholly - at first glance - compatible one with another, each has that necessary for the present situation.
3. [900], as respecting the accounts, these are being kept in proper shape and order. That there are two or three that are causing some trouble, should not unsettle you in the present situation. Act in the manner as has, and as will be given. Do not let the conditions overshadow that instruction.
4. As for the account of [195]'s, as has been instructed to him, by him, hedge in the sufficient manner for the needs of the next two or three days.
5. As to [137], keep the level - understanding, my son, as is seen in that the forces as impel men in such conditions and surroundings may be turned into that that will bring even the better understanding of man's relationships one to another, and of the conditions as have to do with life in all its phases. In the present situation, as has been promised, there will be those to guide, that will direct in the proper channel. Then, as the changes come and go, there will be seen that these will be given thee - understanding, and the way and manner to act [10/26/29 See 900-458, Par. 18-A in re [137]'s actions on this day]. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Any special move that should be made today?
   (A) As will be given, as HAS been given - as has been outlined. We are through for the present.

REPORTS

1. 10/25/29 EC's ltr. to HLC:
[900] and [137] and [195] certainly went through a drill yesterday. [900] called me - we did our best, though it did not tell them anything about prices. He called me in the evening and told me that the day was over - they were possibly saved, but it had only been a miracle - nothing but a miracle on the part that I had been able to help [137] through the hour that he needed it most. Of course, that will curtail many of the programs that were on hand, and I don't know just how it will put us for much that has been contracted for - guess it will work out alright. I'll know more about this, of course, when I talk with [900] tomorrow. ...Poor [257]! He got caught in the rush yesterday about 50-60 thousand, in cool cash. Guess it caught [195] maybe twice that much.
