(Q) Is crying the sign of bodily discomfort?
(A) Crying is the sign of bodily discomfort. It is well
also to begin with the Fletcher's Castoria for the body also;
a very small quantity, to be sure, but sufficient to correct
the eliminations and make for the nominal rest and
assimilation. Give the Castoria when necessary; one, two,
three drops during a day, but not all at once, to be sure.
Of course, it should be diluted in warm water.
All the water used should be boiled, to be sure.
(Q) What is the cause of continual gas on stomach?
(A) Indigestion!
(Q) What is cause and cure of wheezing?
(A) The pressure as indicated in the upper dorsal area,
where there should be given those massages with the cocoa
butter.
(Q) For the hiccoughing?
(A) This is natural, and - with the limewater - will be
eliminated.
(Q) Any advice on care of infant? other than that given?
(A) Just that given, for the present. Necessary that there
be the meeting of the emergencies and general conditions that
develop with the care of infants.
(Q) Any advice as to diet of the mother?
(A) Keep a diet well-balanced or well-rounded in iron,
nitrogen, and the necessary bone structural forces in the
activities that arise from such diets. Milk, a good
vegetable diet; not acid-forming foods, not too heavy of
meats - but a well-rounded, well-balanced diet.
(Q) Any other advice?
(A) This we would do in the present. Be mindful that there
is not, from the gas, an inflammation in the colon.
We are through for the present.
