TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [937].
2. Now, as we find, these are rather serious conditions; for they have sapped much of the vitality of the body, and the complications that have threatened and do threaten the physical functionings work - as it were - at odds one with another. And when there has been for a little while that which has aided in one direction, complications have shown in other directions.
3. Hence, as we find, while we may aid, it will be necessary that changes be made in the applications every three to four weeks apart; so that there may be those things necessary for the resuscitation and revivification from the destructive forces that have, as it were, engaged activity in the system.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body in the present, [937] we are speaking of:
5. The BLOOD SUPPLY is very deficient from the inability of assimilations without the attending efforts of a disturbance in the circulatory forces between the liver and the kidneys. Thus there is the production of poisons, as well as the inability through the lung condition to give the proper vitality to the oxidizing or the oxygens as necessary for the purifying of the blood supply.
6. Hence when there are complications in the liver and kidneys, when the circulatory forces and the organs are unable to purify the blood supply through the lung area, these make for warring at times one with another.
7. In the NERVOUS FORCES, these have been more often deadened by the necessity of the stimulation necessary for the circulatory forces to be impelled. So, we have not only an incoordinant activity between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic forces, but engorgements that occur in the coordinating forces between the lymph circulation as related to the vegetative nervous forces or sympathetic forces and the cerebrospinal.
8. Hence those necessities that have been at times for the destruction of the fluids as accumulations for portions of the body itself.
9. In the beginning, then, as we find, these we would apply for four weeks in toto; that is, ALL of those things as may be suggested at this time. THEN we would give those instructive forces for the aiding of that necessary to bring about a change that will be created by the application of these as applications TO the body, and those things taken as internal activities also.
10. For while we will gain strength, it will be necessary to make for a change that we may build resuscitating and revivifying forces for the body.
11. First, then:
12. We would begin with the Animated Ash. Take one-eighth of a grain internally every day. This is to be emptied from the capsule dry onto the tongue and washed down with a little water. (Do not take IN the capsule.)
13. Then, five to ten minutes after each dose of Ash is taken, let the body either be in very strong sun rays - that is, the body be in the sun (of course, with the eyes shaded) and the upper portion of the body bare - or else apply the violet ray (hand machine, bulb applicator) over the lung, and over the front and back portion of same, also, see? If the violet ray is used, let it be applied for three minutes. Or, if the sun is used, let the body remain in same for five to ten minutes.
14. Following the sun's rays or the violet ray treatment, massage the whole of the cerebrospinal system with a compound prepared in this manner:
15. To 2 ounces of Russian White Oil as the base, add:

    Compound Tincture of Benzoin...........1/2 ounce,
Oil of Cedar Wood......................1/2 ounce,
Witchhaze1.............................1/2 ounce,
Oil of Sassafras.......................1/4 ounce.

These will separate, to be sure, as they stand. But when ready to use, shake well together; pour a small quantity in an open container and massage in the cerebrospinal system ALL it will absorb.
16. Use high enemas to relieve those strains upon the alimentary canal; not too much at a time but rather purifying the colon throughout by the use of the antiseptics as well as the lukewarm water. The solutions for such enemas would be prepared in this way: In the first gallon of water put at least a level teaspoonful of salt and a heaping teaspoonful of baking soda. In the last quart of water put a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline as an intestinal antiseptic. Such an enema would be given about twice each week; not too fast, not too hurrying, but let the body rest in between the applications; that we may remove the refuse forces and make for those absorptions - for the hepatic circulation as disturbing kidneys, liver and digestive forces of the body - in such a manner that there may be RENEWED activity.
17. Be mindful that there is given plenty of the CITRUS FRUITS in the diet. This does not require (with the activities in the present) such great QUANTITIES, but SMALL quantities given often. Rather alternate between orange and grapefruit juices. Also BEEF juice would be well, but not the meat itself. And junket, the similar activities - as those that make for easy assimilation, but that require activities in the digestive forces, are the better; such as popcorn meal, or things of such nature that are absorbent in their activity.
18. Also Honey and Charcoal tablets taken occasionally, after the meals. Will sweeten the stomach.
19. We would use small stimulants of pure apple brandy, sweetened with honey; not too great a quantity but small sips of this. This will also stimulate the circulatory forces through the respiratory system, and act with lungs. Small sips of this taken several times a day will be most helpful.
20. The massage with the oils, as indicated, would be given each day following the Ash and the violet ray.
21. Do all of these for the whole period of four weeks. Then we would give further instructions.
22. We are through for the present.

    Copy to Ass'n file
(See copy of letter [which was enclosed] explaining Ash and where obtained.
See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing pure Beef Juice. The Honey and Charcoal tablets are distributed from Battle Creek, but I think you can get them from a local druggist. The oils for massaging may be bought separately and then combined by self in the proportions indicated. If unable to obtain any ingredient, order direct from our local druggist, Snyder Pharmacy, 244 Church St., Norfolk, Va.
If everything is not clear, let us know. Advise when the whole treatment has been followed nearly four weeks, so we may make an appointment for a Check Reading to give further instructions. GD.)

REPORTS

1. 9/25/35 Ltr. to EC from [937]'s brother:
Assc'n for Research & Eng Inc, Virginia Beach Va.
   Dear Mr. Cayce,
Your letter Sept. 23rd received regarding my Brothers' treatment wish to advise that we were a bit late starting and completed the course last Tuesday...his physical condition seem to have improved a bit but his mind has not cleared up as I had hoped.
Sometime ago about seven years ago he had a stroke while visiting a ball game at Selma Ala prior to that he was under a doctors care and thought that he was out of danger but at the game he must have gotten too excited or something and was taken to a hospital later for treatment also had him at Hot Springs giving him several courses of baths and they did him a bit of good, and that was about as far as we could take him it seem as the Doctors had done all they could.
It might be that after the treatment has had time to take hold he might show signs of improvement, and we will let you know.
I am enclosing check for 10.00 covering the balance of the fee, if this is not correct please advise,
   Very respectfully yours
2. 10/01/35 EC's ltr. to [937]'s brother:
   Mr. [...], ..., Arkansas
   Dear Mr. [...]
I have yours of the 25th, with enclosure, for which we thank you very much.
With a great deal of interest I note what you have to say about your brother's condition. I'm certainly glad to know there seems to be some improvement in his physical condition.
You will notice from his Physical Reading that the suggestion was made, "Do this for four weeks, and then we will give further instructions." It may be that the other treatments which should be followed now will work towards clearing up the mental condition. Know that we will be very glad to make this Check-Up on his condition, if you wish, and see just what further might be offered at this time. I would like to see you follow out the entire outline through these sources, for evidently the first portion of the treatment advised was simply to bring about a physical condition as the basis for further treatment to reach the deeper-seated condition.
Assuring you of our sincere desire to be of help if possible, and hoping you will let us keep in touch with you, I am
   Sincerely,
   ASS'N FOR RESEARCH & ENLIGHTENMENT, INC. [EC:GD]
P.S. If you wish us to check up on his condition through another Reading, we could do so next Friday morning, the 4th, between 11:00 and 12:00 o'clock Eastern Standard Time. If you wish us to go ahead with it, please wire upon receipt of this the exact address at which he will be during that hour, also any questions you would like to have asked about his condition now. I'm telling you of this, for we expect to be away for several weeks after the 8th.
