TEXT

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [949]; this we have had before, you see.
3. As we find, there are many changes in the physical forces of the body since last we had same here.
4. The disturbances that arise in the present are at times rather acute. This in the present, though, is causing some specific disturbance through the limb that has been so disturbed, - of a nature that is affecting the whole general system.
5. It is the unbalancing of the chemical reactions in the body. Thus the disturbances through the activity of the liver and the effect upon the whole of the circulation, the little temperature that arises, and the toxic forces of an excessive nature as produced in same.
6. The effects are to bring acute pains, and these are indicated in the joints and in the ligaments of the body, especially across the hips, through the trunk portion, or a heaviness in the lungs; and the inclination for the segregation of these disturbances producing pressure upon the sympathetic nervous system.
7. It might be termed - by some - as an aggravation of the glandular forces in a form of malarial condition, or a slow fever. However, as we find, this arises from these unbalanced forces that are causing a lessening in the amount of definite influences needed in the system in the form of calcium, as well as the coordination in centers of the body for better reaction between the sympathetic and the cerebro-spinal system.
8. Then, in making administrations for the body in the present, -
9. We would first have a thorough relaxation through hydrotherapy; that is, including Wet AND Dry Heat, with the Fume Bath. Have the Dry Heat first, to open the pores; then have the fumes from the boiling of Atomidine in water to react upon the body, - a teaspoonful of commercial strength Atomidine in a pint of water, boiled so that the fumes IN the cabinet settle upon the body.
10. This of itself would produce an irritation, or rash, - but it is a necessary influence to bring these poisons THROUGH the superficial and the perspiratory circulation.
11. But after the cabinet bath, when rubbed down, use an equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil; that we may counteract this inclination or tendency for the rash. For, each of these would add those properties as foods to the epidermis and its circulation. Follow each fume bath with this massage, then; else we will have the effect of a rash on the body.
12. Give three of these general hydrotherapy treatments - in the manner here outlined - during a period of ten days, you see.
13. Also after each such hydrotherapy treatment have a correction OSTEOPATHICALLY made; not attempted by the masseur, though the masseur's treatments and applications for the exterior circulation are necessary. But the removal of pressures by the osteopath should be in the lumbar and the 9th dorsal, and then through the cervical and upper dorsal.
14. After the first of these treatments has been given, begin taking internally Grove's Tasteless Chill Tonic; a teaspoonful twice each day, morning before any meal is taken, and after the meal at night - just before retiring, see? This combination is an excellent purifier for the blood supply.
15. Also we would take CALCIOS; about the dosage or quantity as would be evenly spread upon a wafer or cracker, about three times each week.
16. And then the diet: Naturally, with the unbalanced condition, it is necessary that there be the refraining from pastries, cookies, pies or the like. No carbonated drinks. No QUANTITIES of flesh, or of meats; but rather vegetables - both raw and cooked.
17. And give ALL of these applications in the order and manner indicated.
18. Within ten days we should find great improvements.
19. AFTER the ten days of treatments as outlined, - THEN take (not before) the Short Wave Therapy; this to be given in the LOWER form, and NOT too long - about twenty to thirty minutes. Two or three of these, at least five days apart, should be sufficient, if the other applications are given. This would be to eliminate ENTIRELY from the system the effects of this condition.
20. Do that.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) Would you recommend any doctor out there to follow these suggestion?
    (A) He has the association and affiliation with those who will follow these suggestions.
23. We are through for the present.

Copy to Self - Air Mail
    Copy to Ass'n file
Copy to Mr. [437] (that he may order the Atomidine and Calcios sent from N.Y. immediately)
(See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for a Physiotherapist - for the first and second course of his treatments; also directions to Osteopath.
Calcios is manufactured and distributed by A.A. Nichoson, Colloidal Health Products Corp., Greenvale, L.I., N.Y. It is a syrupy paste that sells for $2.50 a jar. The Readings say it is the best way of assimilating free calcium.)
