979], we are speaking of here, have to do more with the
nervous system by its reaction rather than by organic
troubles within the body. We find the blood supply or force
is low, the white being predominant, that is, the white
corpuscles are growing in number. They are taking from the
hemoglobin needed to rebuild in the system, hence, the tired
feeling generally prevailing over the whole system, the
swelling at times of the feet on account of distribution of
blood causing contraction throughout the muscular forces in
every portion of the body. Sometimes there is a touch of
indigestion, again the heart action becomes low or is speeded
too fast at others. The body is easily frightened, trouble
produced throughout all the functioning of the sensory
system, of the nervous system, that is, the sound fails to
act or register itself properly through the ear, the eye
fails to perceive, the sense of smell does not revibrate, the
sense of speech fails to act in accord with impressions.
This does not mean these organs are organically affected, but
the incentive for their action from the nerve centers is
impaired on account of lesions that have formed about the
centers that are governing the functioning of these organs.
These are found at third to fifth cervical, second, fifth and
ninth dorsal, first and second lumbar and throughout the
sacrum. To relieve this condition we would relax by
vibration rather than by taking medicinal properties in the
system. Let those be through diet as taken - the nutrition
would be through the massage as through the vibrator used
with the sponge, over the centers of these portions. Let
these be given with the body lying face downward, perfectly
relaxed, never given with the body erect. The diet should be
no meats except that of fish or wild game or fowl, rather of
vegetables and that green, not those that have been seasoned
or old. If this is used we will find more relief in the
body. This body is not sick all the time but at times these
conditions exist.
