This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of July, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [993].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Misses [993] and [560], Mr. L. B. Cayce and Mr. Linden Shroyer. Born April 19, 1890, 9:30 P.M., Norfolk, Virginia.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present experience.
2. In entering the earth's plane we find the entity coming under the influence, astrologically, of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus, with those influences astrologically of Aquarius and Sagittarius. These, however, in many respects have been altered through the present and some of the past experiences of the entity.
3. One, however, without reference to the application of will's influence (that with which an entity may, through the earth's experience, apply, as to self's own developments regarding influences in the life - Life, here, relating to the impelling force, or the continuity of same) - in the influence then, we find:
4. One high minded, ever governed by love and nobility. One, however, that arms - in the respect of wars - have and will bring changes or altered conditions for the entity.
5. One that, by many, is considered eccentric, and quick to act, and with the ability to control the expressions of self as respecting that thought, whether as to that as may be example, precept, tenet, or whether in the field of diplomatic example or precept, or action.
6. One that IS, and has the ability to control the activity of the mental reaction toward individuals when that activity in others would be anger; yet the entity itself has altered these much.
7. One that loves the beautiful, whether in nature, in life, in activity, or in the ordinary circumstances of life. The beautiful becomes apparent first to the entity, and well may it be said that even the lowest may be beautiful to this entity, though judged from the mental plane wholly.
8. One that fears little, when the self has decided for self the proper mode of action toward any question; yet there is constantly in the innate influences the doubt of others in their activities at times. These influences we shall see from the earth's experience.
9. One that, with the will's influence, has brought much for self through material or earth's experience to gain from same.
10. One who has gained much through the cosmic influences.
11. One who, under the influence of Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, will find much comfort, much consolation, in that called occult in material or earth's plane.
12. One that, through self, may develop that of the occult in this present experience, and when there is again the square of Venus, Jupiter and Uranus, with the earth's influence, we will find the greater forces of same and same's influence manifesting in the life; even as in the present experience when this occurred, or when these influences were last in their square of activity, this knowledge or the ability to apply same became apparent most in the experiences of the entity. This, as seen, in the period between September 1919 and that of April 22, 1925. These the greater periods of the present development in this phase of the experience of the entity. This occurs again, and with a greater influence for the entity, for the influence then will lie (this is astrologically speaking) in the house of the entity (Aquarius) during the period of April 21, 1931, to December 22, 1936. The entity may attain such influence in this period as to be assistant, even, to those forces attempting to be DEMONSTRATED in the experiences of many near where the entity resides. Helpful and hopeful in health giving influence. Well that the entity study in this field, for much may be accomplished in this direction.
13. In the fields of secular forces, we find the entity influenced through Mercury toward those of figures; not necessarily numericals, though in numerology to the entity figures mean much - but SYMBOLS will ever mean more. In the influences of the entity these may expand according to the application of self in many directions, as seen, and as WILL be seen through the influences as have been in the experience of the entity - for MANY have been the experiences of this entity through the earth's plane, and much experience has been gained thereby. Much of same may be crystallized in this present experience.
14. As to appearances:
15. In the one before this we find the entity among those who were of the first settlers in the land about which the entity now resides, choosing for self to again come in the present surroundings about which there is to the entity much that is near, dear - yet held aloof or apart - but HOLDS same in a not understandable manner. Much may be given as respecting this period. Then in the name Fairfax. The entity gained through this experience through the aid of those that came to the land from the north country, and in the manner gave much in lesson and in precept, not only to the peoples as gathered but to the natives of the land. These and their legends have been of a wonderment to the entity. Oft a glimpse of the concept of the peoples are near to being heard. Do not fail to heed when they call again. In the influence in the present experience, these we find are rather those of loving to be the student, and alone, yet gaining most in the application of meditation among others.
16. In the one before this we find in that land now known as France. The entity then among those when the second of the Charles [Charles II of England] were in exile to aid that monarch or ruler in gaining again the position he occupied. The entity among that household that the entity or the ruler was kept hid for a period. Then in the name Roula. The entity gained and lost through this experience. Gaining in the assistance given to another. Losing through the misapplication of self's own indulgencies. In the present experience the entity feels much for the peoples of this land, represented in not only the sojourn but of the peoples represented by the ruler, and innately there is often felt that self HAS experienced something of the glory or pomp that goes with such positions; and justly so, for self has once been a princess.
17. In the one before this we find in that period when there were discernments between the peoples of the island and those of the mainland, during that known as the Trojan period. The entity then among those that assisted those in the defense of the gate through which those armies overran the city. The entity gained and lost and gained through this sojourn. Then in the name Ialea. The entity through this experience, as felt in the present, the fear - and the war has often made changes, as it did here, close to, and an attendant of, and the companion of, the defender at the left gate. The entity lost through grudges held. This far from that felt in the present experience.
18. In the one before this we find in that land when the peoples called nomads made raids into the north country. The entity then among those of the household of the ruler or the leader Uhjltd, who led these peoples, and the daughter of this leader. In the name Uldha. The entity lost through the first portion, gaining through that gained from the trials of him who first taught the entity in THIS experience to pray. In this experience there is much that is felt in the present, especially of the influence of the exterior to the interior, or that as may better be termed influences of cosmic forces in the inner man.
19. In the one before this we find in that land where divisions arose, the land now known as Egypt. The entity then among those of the household of the king, and an attendant with the priest in the temple that was called beautiful; coming under the influence of that priest, losing through the losing of self in that influence, gaining in gaining the knowledge of that being taught when the priest was returned to a partial power in the period. Then in the name Iskxe. In this experience the entity gained much in earth's forces, gained much in mental application, and this again brings much in the present experience of the entity.
20. In the one before this we find in that land known as the land of Og, now known as that of the American plateaus, or in north portion of now New Mexico, and such. The entity then among the peoples who first gave to those peoples the home and home's influence, making for that about which peoples came as those that would gain by the consolidation of strength; not in physical but in mental abilities. Then in the name Uzld. In THIS period the entity gained much, gaining much of the knowledge of the metals and the minerals of the earth and the usages same could be put for man's own use. In the one who brought to the entity this experience may the entity gain much in the present experience, and the entity will meet this entity on the 17th day of August 1929, at HOME. [GD's note: At the time we thought this might refer to Mr. [195].]
21. In the one before this we find again in that land now known as Egypt. The entity then among those that set up the first of the pyramids that became more and more the monuments of endeavors and accomplishments of man. The entity then in the name Oual. In THIS experience the entity gained and lost. Gained through that given. Lost through that as came from aggrandizement of selfish motives.
22. As to the abilities of the entity: These, as seen, lie in the occult forces and the training in same will bring to self much that will be of assistance, aid and help to many, led and guided in the field where experimentation or justification of the truth as found is being exemplified. Follow, then, and keep in that way knowing that through self a knowledge of the universe may be obtained, and with the acquaintance of self with universal influences and forces gives one an insight into aiding another seeking to know something of self. Keep in attunement with the all creative energy, knowing that through Him who gave Himself a ransom for many the understanding comes; for, as He is the way, the light, the door, the self may be aided by Him in that that the self would gain or attain.

    (A) Combination with those who seek to combine the forces of this with others and to expand the field of endeavors.
25. (Q) What should the entity do for its own development?
    (A) As has been given. Study to make self an assistant to those seeking to exemplify the occult or the cosmic influences in the material plane, for the entity itself may become a medium for such influences.
26. (Q) Has the entity's sister, [560], ever been associated with the entity in any other period?
    (A) In the last, in the Trojan, and in Egypt - the second period there.
