(Q) Which is the best procedure to follow in connection with
the case of United States against [
1000] Calendar #5 as of
September, 1938 Equity Calendar file - Equity volume 78 page
#341 and answer these four questions: located United States
Court House N.Y. City a: - Shall I trust Lester Friedman and
give him the required $100. and the questions as answered,
in settlement of the tax matter, and $100. fee for himself?
b: - Will this close the matter so I will have no further
trouble? C: - Shall I permit them to take a judgement
against me? D: - Shall I hire another attorney and fight
the case?
(A) As we find, pay that as is asked; being assured,
however, in the paying of same, that it does settle the
matter. Do not allow judgement to be taken, or attempt to
fight the case.
But be ASSURED that the answers AND the settlement make no
further trouble.
(Q) What should I do, or how can I be assured?
(A) Only by the guarantee of the attorney for the fee; but
it be written, not verbal.
(Q) Was it right for me to transfer the Furfluf patent
and trade mark to the new corporation to safeguard it from
outside law suits?
(A) Very well, provided there is not left something that
indicates this was done for the hiding of something else.
(Q) What is best way to go about making [my husband] realize
his financial responsibility to me and to [our daughter,
[
1193]], and what can I do to make him meet this obligation?
(A) Only as may be drawn by those rulings of General
Assembly as respecting such relations. And these are the
only manner in which we find there may be the correct
relations established.
(Q) Is [husband] financially able at the present time to
give us a weekly allowance and how much?
(A) This would depend upon how much was asked. Hence it
must be decided by the Court or the Assembly ruling on such -
as to amount.
(Q) Would it be better for me to try to obtain a divorce?
(A) Through such rulings it may, with those provisions as
indicated.
(Q) When would be the right time to start proceedings?
(A) Whenever there is the assurance that there is sufficient
of the evidence to meet the requirements of such under the
rulings of that Court in which it is brought - wherever this
may be.
(Q) Would it be better for me and my future relationship to
my children to start a small home at this time or shall I
remain at the Park Central Hotel with my brother Jack?
(A) Remain at hotel at the present until conditions in
relationships to the home are definitely decided upon.
(Q) Wherein have I failed in my efforts to put over
Furfluf?
(A) Who may be the judge? As we find, as has been
indicated, through the associations and the advice and
counsel of the brother-in-law, [
417], BEST might have been
or may be yet accomplished with same.
Whoever he may choose to put into the actual operations of
same, if such is decided upon.
(Q) Is [
417] better than -
(A) (Interrupting) As has been indicated.
(Q) Am still working to locate the soybean combs and have
made continued efforts to locate a source of supply in
Columbus and elsewhere. Can you name the manufacturer and
the location?
(A) This may be most through those where - There are those
manufacturers where such is made for the finishings of
automobiles, cabs and the like. All of these also make other
products, if they are ordered.
(Q) Can you give the name?
(A) Work some for self!
(Q) Shall I consider the chain store as a possible outlet
for Furfluf and in what price package?
(A) As has been indicated before. Read that.
(Q) Is the transparency of the jug supplied by the Brockway
Glass Co. of 250 Park Ave., N.Y.C., a detriment to its
salability?
(A) Not necessarily.
(Q) Would it be preferable to use a dark glass container
instead for the preservation of Furfluf?
(A) Dark glass would be preferable.
(Q) Since my efforts to date to market Furfluf have been
futile, shall I try to get into some other work and would the
Forces suggest in what capacity and who best to contact to
secure the proper channel?
(A) Not necessarily, if these are followed in those lines as
have been heretofore indicated and as advised here.
Then if that is once out of the way, being handled by others,
if the choice is to get in some other directing work, very
well.
(Q) How can I bring daughter [
1193] into a closer and truer
relationship to me?
(A) Just live it! Just live it!
First it must be within the purpose and the desire of the
inner self; then it must be lived within self; and this is
the only manner to bring such about.
(Q) What can I do to break down the barriers that have
arisen in my relationship to [...], my other daughter?
(A) Only in the same manner and way. "As ye would be done
by, DO." Practise this as well as proclaim it.
(Q) Wherein lies the trouble that prevents her husband
Alfred from giving me the love, confidence and respect that
should exist in this relationship?
(A) As has just been indicated in all - these must be lived
as one toward another. There cannot be moments when there
are criticisms, doubts, fears or the like expressed and then
others when such are attempted to be overcome, and expect
these to remain in an affable manner.
(Q) Any other advice to the body at this time?
(A) Know - as has been given to self, to others - when
there is trouble, doubt or fear, the greater portion lies
within the own consciousness. If you would have others show
themselves lovely, be lovely yourself! If you would have
friends, be friendly! If you would make for those things
which would bring about more harmonious association in any
phase of the experience, know they must first be lived, -
conceived, born and reared within the own consciousness.
We are through.
