(Q) What treatments and medications, if any, should be
continued by body for the month or so body is away from
hospital?
(A) The manipulations osteopathically, NOT just adjustments,
should be kept. Those of the properties as we have outlined
- in the Maypop, the manner in which they should be made, the
quantity as should be taken - have this made and take it, but
be CONSISTENT! Do not think that if the body desires to
become nominally balanced that it can fly around as others
who are spending their life in the burning of both ends of
the candle! for even in one PHYSICALLY FIT, and without a
purpose, this would be harmful. The body has purposes, -
faint, but may be fanned into worth while conditions. Why
not make the body worth something, as well as be just -
so-so?
(Q) What foods, actions and company is most detrimental to
body?
(A) The foods, as given, have been outlined. These have
been - and are - very good. Change the MEDICINAL forces,
see, to that outlined - then we may gain. These may be
prepared wherever there is the proper, or a competent chemist
or druggist.
(Q) How many weeks before the ailment or ailments are
completely eliminated from body?
(A) When he has taken five gallons. Figure it out for
himself!
(Q) Are there any further instructions?
(A) DO that!
(Q) Give directions how Mayblossom Bitters should be made up
and taken?
(A) That has been given. One gallon of the vine, leaves,
fruit and blossom. Two gallons of water. Reduce to one
quart. Add one pint, or eight ounces [?], alcohol. [GD's
note: His reading
1001-10 on
9/24/30 prescribed adding 1
pint of 85% alcohol to the quart of prepared solution.]
Dose three to five teaspoonsful each day. Begin with three,
gradually increase. Don't try to drink it all at once. Take
it AS GIVEN! Do that! We are through.

REPORTS
9/13/44 GD's note: The Cayce Hospital was closed in
January 1931 and all patients were evacuated. The treatment
was not continued. In Nov., 1931, when Mr. Cayce was
arrested in N.Y. - see account of it in the book THERE IS A
RIVER - this boy's mother came to the trial and offered her
help in any way possible, anxious to testify as to the help
given her son while he was in Cayce Hospital. The boy
himself never seemed to grasp the spiritual significance of
his affliction. At times he would go away for days at a
time, on drinking sprees and riotous night life excursions.
His mother would finally locate him in some hotel, foot the
bills, and bring him home.
7/60 In Dr. W. N. Pahnke's breakdown of 96 cases of epilepsy
from the Edgar Cayce records, Case [
1001] was classified in
Group I.
