TEXT

1. GC: You will give the present physical condition of this body, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. As we find, while conditions are different, and while there are disturbing conditions, these need not necessarily become serious - if there is something done about same now. But they WILL become serious, as the disturbances would segregate themselves in the body; thus depleting some organ through the disturbance in the functioning of many organs.
4. These we find in the present are conditions as disturb with this body, [1003].
5. First, in the blood supply we find a deficiency in the elements or influences sufficient to carry on the proper activity through the system.
6. Thus we find the body growing unduly weary at times; lack of appetite; inability to rest even when there is the opportunity for same; headaches; upset stomach; and a general debilitation through the system.
7. There are the inclinations for a cough, for an aching through the lower part of the lungs and upper part of the stomach itself. Once in a while there are the disturbances through the caecum area where there is an inclination for weakness.
8. All of these, WITH the blood condition, are a part of the disturbance; produced by improper impulses along the cerebrospinal system, and the lack of activity with the glandular system.
9. These as we find may be materially aided, and a normalcy brought for the body.
10. We would give first that the PROPER adjustments and manipulations be given along the cerebrospinal system; relaxing especially the 9th dorsal, CORRECTING those areas through the upper dorsal and cervical.
11. These we would have twice a week for at least two to three weeks - three weeks of the manipulations. Take them three weeks, rest from same two weeks, and then take them again. Continue in this manner for THREE such SERIES of the adjustments, see?
12. Also, AS these treatments are being administered, or during the same period, you see, we would take Codiron; every day, twice each day, for at least a hundred and fifty days - morning and evening - one tablet with the morning meal, one with the evening meal.
13. These as we find, if they are persistently taken, will bring the conditions as will correct the influences and forces disturbing the body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What causes the breaking out on the hand and arm, and what will remedy it?
    (A) Acidity in the system through the weakened condition in the blood flow, owing to improper eliminations.
Make the corrections, and adjust the system in its elements as necessary for coordination.
Local applications of ANY good antiseptic would be well, but would only allay and not remove - until the conditions are adjusted through the system.
16. (Q) What causes the nervousness?
    (A) This is due to the conditions as indicated.
17. (Q) Is smoking harmful to me?
    (A) In moderation, NOT harmful; rather beneficial. Moderation for this body would mean not more than six to ten smokes each day.
18. (Q) What should my normal weight be and what can I do to gain weight?
    (A) Do these things as indicated and we will find the body coming to normal. The weight will gradually increase as we find the conditions adjusting themselves through the body. The body will weigh a hundred and fifty-seven to sixty, eventually.
19. (Q) Am I sterile, and is it possible for me to reproduce?
    (A) POSSIBLE! After there are the adjustments through the vital forces in the body from the Codiron, we will give further suggestions for those directions, through the Wheat [Germ?] Oil.
20. (Q) Is there any disturbing organic trouble?
    (A) As indicated, it is functional and may become organic if not adjusted. Do as has been indicated.
21. (Q) Is there any danger of T.B.?
    (A) There's always danger for ANY body! There's no one that hasn't had it in some form or another!
22. (Q) When should another Check Reading be necessary?
    (A) After the taking of at least the third series of adjustments. After the third series, we would give the further instructions - especially as related to the activity and virility of the GLANDULAR forces of the body.
23. (Q) Any advice regarding the diet?
    (A) He'll do the right thing by the diet when he begins to take the Codiron!
This will take at least two to three weeks to become effective, but eat all that the body may assimilate - and what the body naturally calls for is the better.
24. We are through with this Reading.

(9/22/38 GD's notes: Meredith Drug Co. at the Beach has ordered Codiron; it should be here in a few days. I will keep calling to find out when it comes. The $1 bottle contains 60 tablets, which should last you a month - taken according to Reading instructions. The next is a $3 size containing 250 tablets. If you get 1 bottle of each, it will be about right for the 150 days - and be a dollar cheaper than if you bought $1 bottles all the way through.
See separate sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for Osteopath.
Let us know when you have finished the third series of treatments, so we may make appointment for Check Reading.)
