In referring to the wonderful power Mr. Cayce possesses, I
wish I was able to tell what and all I know. He saved my
life and possibly that of my son, [
1005], who was a frail,
delicate child from birth, and at the age of 3 yrs. had a
very severe attack of whooping cough, which left him in a
very precarious condition, which was not relieved by the most
skillful treatment, and specialists advised, in fact insisted
on an operation at once, which his father thought (himself an
M.D.) the child was in no condition to stand. In Mr. Cayce's
diagnosis he confirmed this opinion, and suggested treatment
which we followed with most satisfactory results, and now at
the age of 12 yrs. he is a perfect specimen of healthy
boyhood."
GD's note: There is no copy on file of this reading. I also
heard Mrs. [
760] tell of a reading that saved [
1005]'s life
when he was 3 months old, but there is no copy of that
reading on file either. He was having convulsions regularly
every 20 minutes. Doctors had given up hope. The reading
recommended an over dose of belladonna, which in a few
minutes relaxed the baby so that he went to sleep. An
antidote had been given in the reading to counteract the
belladonna poison, a peach-tree poultice, made from the
tenderest branches into a brew. Towels were dipped in this
and wrapped continuously around the baby. He awoke
hours later and was alright.

8/26/67 Letter from F. S. Mbr., Samuel Siegel,
9602 S. Chappel Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60617:
After reading some of the material published by A.R.E. I am
curious to know if any readings prescribed a Homoeopathic
medicine in the Homoeopathic attenuations. The case where a
toxic dose of Belladonna was prescribed to be immediately
followed by its antidote could have been just as well a high
attenuation of Belladonna which is not toxic. However there
may have been other reasons...
