Each evening before retiring, massage just what the body will
absorb, particularly over the whole of the cerebrospinal
system - and mostly over the lumbar and sacral area, the
central or dorsal area, and the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th
dorsal, the brachial center, 1st, 2nd and 3rd dorsal, and
over the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th cervical area. Of course,
this is almost the whole length, but these centers
specifically; for they will be found to be somewhat tender
in some and taut in others. Massage only what the body
absorbs.
When the whole quantity of the mixture has been taken
internally, rest from same for two weeks - and from taking
the rubs also; and begin with the diathermy SLOWLY given, or
LOW rather than high, but taken about three times each week
for TWO weeks.
Then begin again with the compound as indicated, and the rub
again.
It would be very well for there to be taken every other day a
quarter teaspoonful of the Alcaroid; and once or twice a week
take two of the Caroid and Bile Salts tablets. Preferably
the Alcaroid would be taken just after the evening meal, and
the Caroid tablets just before retiring.
We would be mindful of the diet. Keep those things that,
while body and blood building, do not carry large quantities
of starch or too much of carbohydrates.
Do these, and after taking the second quantity of the
compound, then we would give further instructions.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Where should the diathermy be applied?
(A) As is normal for most of these treatments. Let same be
applied by the operator, which will be - of course - to the
upper dorsal and the liver area.
(Q) Will he be entirely free from this condition?
(A) As indicated, it will be materially aided; but will take
persistence and consistence, being continually "at it," as it
were, for a time, to eliminate entirely.
Do these for the present, and then we would give further
instructions in those periods when this course of treatments
has been completed.
We are through for the present.

directions to Electrotherapist for giving the diathermy
treatments, when the time comes for them.
Let us know when the second round has been completed, so we
may make appointment for Check Reading to give further
instructions.)
BACKGROUND
9/23/35 Son's letter: "What causes this itching of his body?
Will he be entirely free from it again?"
REPORTS
9/30/35 Mr. [
877]'s letter: "Your reading for my father was
wonderful, and from my own knowledge, I am quite confident
that the diagnosis and treatment are both absolutely correct.
I have sent my copy with my comments to him, and I am sure
that excellent results will be forthcoming. Many, many
thanks!"
10/31/35 Wife's letter: "Mr. [
1009] who had his first 'rdg.'
has been doing just as you said to the very letter. About 2
wks. ago he had a trouble that sounded very much like
indigestion but medicines that would help a case of that kind
would not relieve him. It has grown very much worse.
Sometimes he cannot swallow water. Last night at dinner he
could eat nothing, just couldn't swallow. The trouble seems
to be about in his chest. This morning he was able to eat
breakfast which consisted of orange juice, bacon, 2 boiled
eggs, soft toast and coffee. This morning the Doctor used a
fluoroscope on him and found no organic trouble, just nerves.
The itching irritation on his body has not bothered him for
over a wk, and he has used nothing for it, but this other
trouble seems to have come up which is far worse. Sometimes
he will not be bothered all day, eat his meals (with
difficulty, tho) and at about 4 o'clock a.m. this trouble
starts up and he can't breathe and has a terrible time. The
Dr. says it is just nerves but I think you should know and
perhaps you can help him. Mr. [
1009] is thru now with the
diathermy, has had 2 wks. of that and now we go back to 2
wks. of rubbing spine and using the medicine before
breakfast. Tell us what to do. Thanks for what you have
already done."
