TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1069].
2. In many respects the body shows some improvements. Still there are those disturbing conditions that cause anxiety; not only to the body but those administering for the body, and these anxieties, of course, become communicated to the body - thus making for disparaging conditions at times.
3. These are from the lack of the abilities of the eliminating systems to carry off the larger quantities and the conditions that become as drosses for the system, and the despair according to those administering the colonic irrigations that these become irritating to the colon itself - or are too much to be handled.
4. As we find, we would begin first with a massage gently, from the pit of the stomach across the lower portion of the duodenum to the entrance to the jejunum, crisscross the whole of the abdomen to the caecum and across the ascending, transverse and descending colon area, gently, about twice each day, with all the olive oil the body will absorb. This would be massaged gently into the system.
5. Begin also with small doses of Agarol [Agoral?], about a teaspoonful three times a day; but be SURE that before twenty-four hours have passed the enemas are given to produce an elimination, allowing a peristaltic and a lymphatic activity of the system through those properties that would be absorbed and assimilated.
6. For the rest of the system keep up those suggestions that have been indicated.
7. Ready for questions.
8. This Agarol, you see, is a combination of Agar and Russian Oil, and a combination of Caroid in same.
9. (Q) How long should the massage be kept up?
   (A) Until there has been massaged all that the body will absorb, each day. Massage gently and, of course, in the direction of the eliminations; but begin at the upper portion - at the end of the cardiac portion of the stomach, across the pylorus, down and through the duodenum, across the entrance into the lacteals, through the upper portion of the jejunum, crisscrossing the body down to the ileum and then across to the caecum, then up and across the ascending, transverse and descending colon. Do this gently, but massage ALL the oil the body will absorb, and any surplus - of course should be sponged off.
10. (Q) Should more than one enema be given in twenty-four hours?
    (A) One enema in the twenty-four hours, but do not allow forty-eight hours without a passage from the bowels. And, as we find, as there is the softening - as the body absorbs these properties of the Agarol and the olive oil - this should make for better corrections, better assimilations and better activities throughout.
And none of these, of course, become habit-forming.
    Do that.
11. We are through with THIS reading.

2. 1/22/36 Son's wire: "My mother is terribly constipated for days. The doctors are at loss and worried. Have tried everything with no results. Will you please wire collect as soon as possible today if you can, your suggestions for any relief. Letter to follow. Regards."

REPORTS

1. 1/22/36 Son's ltr. to EC:
   My dear Mr. Cayce:-
Mrs. [601] informed us that if it was necessary you would be kind enough to give us a weekly check reading.
About ten days ago there started a strong burning sensation in my Mother's left leg. The Dr. was very elated about this and said it was a very encouraging sign and expected to see a gradual improvement, but at this writing Dr. Layng feels things are more or less at a standstill. Would you be so good as to answer the following questions?
Should the serum shots be continued and if so, what are their benefits?
Do you find any congestion around the heart?
Do you find anything hidden that is preventing the patient responding favorably to the massages?
Fecal matter does not pass with enema. What can be done to help this trouble?
Is the daily enema too frequent, and how often should it be given?
How much water should be used and has the rectal tube helped?
Should adjustments be made for arm and hand muscles? Dr. Layng feels she can relieve a lot of pain.
Has the patient enough acid in the system?
   Is milk helpful?
What can be done to relieve gas pressure?
Patient gets dizzy spells, what causes this?
What is the cause of sores under the arm and tip of spine?
Should Dr. Layng continue nature apothetic work, or just rub in oil?
P.S. No doubt you have already received my wire. This particular condition came on this week, and we are all very much worried.
