This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of January, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1079], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [1079] and Mrs. [578].

TEXT

1. HLC: You will answer the physical questions regarding this body, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Give condition of left breast, and suggest any change of treatment necessary.
   (A) As we find, there are still those indications of some poisons being stopped in the superficial circulation, - or not a perfect coordination, as we have heretofore indicated, in the eliminating systems.
   First we would give that there be taken more of the Fume Baths. In the PRESENT we would use alternately the fumes of Witchhazel and Tincture of Iodine, at least once or twice a week; first one and then the next time the other; about half a teaspoonful to a quart of water boiled in the Fume Bath, you see. Take at least half a dozen or more of these.
   At first the iodine may cause a bit more irritation to the whole of the superficial circulation, until after the third or fourth. But if the body is kept thoroughly massaged down after each Fume Bath with Peanut Oil, this will disappear. Four the Peanut Oil in a saucer, dip the fingers into it and massage thoroughly over the body. This will be an aid to the applications indicated for the conditions of the glands with the breast.
   Also at times in the present we would use a massage on the glands that extend along the side and to the edges of the breast (not on the breast directly), - rather than that heretofore indicated, using a compound prepared in this manner:
   To 1 ounce of Witchhazel, add - in the order named:

   Pure Olive Oil.........1/2 ounce,
Pure Peanut Oil..........1 ounce,

   Oil of Sassafras.........5 drops.

   These will tend to separate, for they are oils and some water, and some oils that do not combine well. But shake together thoroughly, and use as a massage for the glands about twice each week - say Tuesdays and Fridays.
4. (Q) What causes the hemorrhages, and what can be done to prevent them?
   (A) As we find, these will gradually disappear as we coordinate the eliminating systems. This is from the thinning of the walls of the system, so as to allow the blood to rush through, you see.
5. (Q) Is there a growth which causes the hemorrhages, or am I going through the menopause?
   (A) Menopause.
6. (Q) Is there any indication of cancerous condition?
   (A) No; this is rather - as we have heretofore given - the attempt of the system to cause accumulations in portions of the body, owing to the unbalancing in the eliminating channels of the system, see?
7. (Q) What causes the slight discharge?
   (A) As we have indicated, this is from the general conditions; hence the need for each of the applications indicated.
   At least once or twice a week we would use the douches with a little Atomidine in the water (not iodine, but Atomidine); half a teaspoonful in a quart and a half of water, body temperature; and we will find these conditions will disappear. Use only the Fountain Syringe for such.
8. (Q) Please give conditions of, and relief for, gall bladder.
   (A) We find that these are sympathetic conditions. The use of Castor Oil Packs periodically, with the use of doses of Olive Oil regularly, will eliminate this disturbance. Apply these half an hour to an hour each day for three days, when they are taken, followed by a tablespoonful of Olive Oil on the evening of the third day, you see. Do these about three days out of every ten, you see.
   Also, regularly, take small doses of Olive Oil; half to a quarter teaspoonful once, twice or three times a day, - just as a helpful force to keep the activities through the alimentary canal.
9. (Q) What causes pains in different parts of the body?
   (A) The attempt of the system to coordinate in eliminations. See, we eliminate through alimentary canal, through the activities of the kidneys and bladder, through the perspiratory system and the respiratory system. These in this body do not coordinate, as we have indicated; and we have given the character of applications for correcting the various portions of disturbed functionings, as well as the organic disturbances in same, that are upsetting this condition.
   These if they are followed consistently will be helpful.
   Do that.
