This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of September, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1100], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1100]; this we have had before. Beautiful attitude for helpful suggestions for the body.
2. As we find, conditions in the general are very good with this body in the present. Rather would there be given, under the existent conditions of weaknesses and inclinations that have been indicated for the body, the precautions to be taken.
3. For the body-building, that will add to the assimilating forces of the system influences that will bring about better conditions in the lymph, in the blood, in the activity of the glandular system as related to the bodily functions for resistances, we would take periodically the Syrup of Squill. This would be taken about two or three days a week for periods of two weeks, and then a rest for two weeks before taking again; about half a teaspoonful taken two to three days in succession, you see - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; then the next week take Monday and Tuesday; then the next week take Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Then leave off for three to four weeks, then take again.
4. Now, as to the activity of this upon the system:
5. As indicated, the attempts of the body through its physical activity, as well as its diet, to keep more or less in the present physical weight, will work well with the activities. But we would change just a little bit as to diet.
6. The activities, the massages these are very well.
7. Only eat Ry-Krisp as bread. Only use as drink, rather than citrus fruits even, for periods at least, the grape juice; preferably the fresh if possible - otherwise that which has no benzoate of soda as a preservative. If this is taken a pint a day - that is, at two periods, morning and evening - it will be found to work well with the body, and while keeping the physical forces down will make for the proper resistance being builded, keeping an attunement in acidity and the activities of the system and working with the body for body building.
8. This does not indicate that there should not be occasionally the osteopathic alignments along the cerebrospinal system. And when these are given, let the manipulator give special reference to the feet, bursa of the feet, that we may relieve some of this strain that has at times been the cause of the production of pressure that affects the soft tissue in the head and face.
9. When in a change of climatic conditions, well that the Atomidine - weak solution - be used as a spray two to three times a week for nasal passages and throat; and we will keep away from the disturbance.
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) Can anything further be done for condition in head and scalp?
    (A) Use the crude oil with the white vaseline and a weak solution of grain alcohol as a cleanser. These are the better conditions for the scalp.
12. (Q) Can anything be substituted for the Jerusalem artichoke until we are able to get it for my husband's use? [As in 470-18 on 9/01/37.]
    (A) The clary water would be very well, if this is used for a week and left off for a week; the dose being a teaspoonful about twenty minutes before each meal.
    The preparation of the clary water for THIS body (the husband [470]), would be in this manner:
    To 6 ounces of Garden Sage add 16 ounces of Distilled Water. Let this boil slowly, only in a glass or enamel container - NOT aluminum, nor with an aluminum cover; until when drained or strained there would be 8 ounces of the solution, you see. To this then add:

    Honey........................1 ounce, that has been
boiled in 1 ounce of Distilled Water.

    Then add 15 grains of Ambergris, dissolved in 1 ounce of Pure Grain Alcohol.
    Then add:

    Gordon's re-Distilled Gin....6 ounces,
Cinnamon.....................2 full sticks,
this would gradually dissolve.

    Shake solution well and take as indicated; a teaspoonful before each meal for a week to two weeks; leave off, and then take again the same way.
13. (Q) Please give any further advice.
    (A) Keep not only mentally and physically fit but budget the time as well as the abilities and possibilities, and USE THE OPPORTUNITIES!
