9/30/78 GD's note: Ingram's Pharmacy told me today that
DDD PRESCRIPTION has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
The label, copied from a bottle I bought from Barr's
Pharmacy a few years ago, reads: D.D.D. PRESCRIPTION,
A remedial agent for the relief of itching caused by
irritations of the skin and scalp. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
Contains: Alcohol 31%, Chloral Hydrate 7.6 grains per fluid
ounce, Thymol, Carbolic Acid, Methyl Salicylate, Glycerine,
Salicylic Acid. 4 Fl. Oz. Regular Strength.
On back side of front label read from inside the bottle:
DIRECTIONS FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
Saturate a piece of cotton with D.D.D. and dab gently on
itching skin area, 2 to 4 times daily. If more scabs and
scales appear than in the first stage, do not remove; let
nature throw them off.
WARNING. Use according to directions. Do not apply to large
areas of the body. When applied to fingers or toes do not
bandage. Do not use in or near eyes or on mucous surfaces.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
