(Q) Should I make any definite plans for our future
together?
(A) As just indicated, make plans for the temporary activity
for the needed assurance in self. Make definite plans that
in February or March, or when there begins the definite
returns from the activities of the husband, the home is to be
established.
Each needs the other.
As to places, - these may change according to the necessity
for the abilities of each to fulfil the best. For, the
abilities of the husband as the writer will increase with the
sale of the present publication. These will be successful,
and there will be the need of that companionship, - not only
of the self but of the child; for there is that SOME call
KARMA - or that needed influence of each in the life of the
other.
(Q) Should I remain in Washington for the present and
continue living with my parents?
(A) If this makes better conditions for the child, it is
well. If it is the choice of self that this all be changed,
then it may be changed. But as we find, Washington is the
better for the next few months. October, November, December,
January; then in FEBRUARY make a home!
(Q) Should I seek governmental work? If so, in what
department?
(A) As indicated, clerical work - that is, of the copy
nature - would be more in keeping with the abilities for just
a period, and not an indefinite period.
(Q) Through whom should I attempt to make the proper
contacts for securing such clerical work?
(A) Through the regular channels. There are those in many
of the various departments. There are needs in the
departments as related to commerce. There are those as
related to the interstate relations. There are those
wherever there is needed a great deal of copy work. In such
there are the greater channels for same.
(Q) Would it be advisable to place my daughter, [
1521], in a
nursery school?
(A) Provided there is the daily contact with self, yes;
without this, no.
(Q) Should I sell or continue to store my household effects
on Long Island?
(A) Do not sell! You'll need them - in the home!
(Q) Any further advice or counsel?
(A) Satisfy self in mind as to the needs, and do not let ANY
of the problems become as stumbling-stones to thy decisions;
for this is that way HE went.
He will not forsake thee nor break thy peace.
We are through for the present.

Association, who might be able to help you get such a
temporary job:
Mr. Claude A. Rice, Interstate Commerce Commission - home

Mr. Austin Rice, Interstate Commerce Commission - 2364
I.C.C. Bldg.
Mrs. H. B. Harrell, Jr., Grafton Hotel, - whose husband is a
lawyer and located in the CLAIMS Department, I think, or
something like that; but call Mrs. Harrell and she will go to
work on it. The other two men are lawyers too, and I'm sure
will do all they can to help. GD.)

9/05/40 "For a good many months I have felt I should tie
together the dangling threads of my present experience. A
new season is about to begin and it seems a logical time to
take stock, to see what I actually have, what I should
attempt to do, and where I should start." [She and husband,
[
849], had become estranged; due, perhaps, to his invalidism
and the fact that he had become accustomed to lack of
responsibility while living in a nursing home prepared by
friends.]
REPORTS
4/07/41 She obtained another Physical - See
1102-6.
GD's note: She and her husband did become reconciled; they
again established a home together with their little daughter
and had several years of happy home life, until shortly
before his death in Jan. 1953. Another interesting bit of
karma is that their home life was disrupted by her father's
stroke and subsequent paralysis, which required Mrs. [
1102]
to live in his home and care for him (since her mother and
only sister had died earlier). For a time she had the two
invalids, her husband and father, to care for. This was
intolerable for her husband, [
849], and made it harder on her
to cope with the situation. See details under
849-76
Reports.
See subsequent notations under her daughter, [
1521]'s file.
GD's note: I knew Mrs. [
1102], and if ever there was a
Christian who tried to live by her faith, it was she. I am
sure that she worked out a tremendous amount of bad karma in
this life.
She is still active in the type of work the reading outlined
for her and keeps in touch with the A.R.E. program.
See subsequent mention of her daughter's
1521-2 Life Rdg.
Reports.
