Equal parts of Olive Oil, Castor Oil, and (cut same with)
Petroleum Oil or Coal Oil, see? These, as we find, would not
be rubbed hard, but along the spine and across the structural
portions of the body; as along the spine across the ribs,
across the pelvic bone, across the sternum or the bone just
below the ribs, you see, and all portions; so that there may
be just the absorption of these. Massage these each time for
five to ten minutes.
And then in six months, we would give those changes
necessary.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
1/13/36 Aunt [
1073]'s wire: "Visiting sister in ... please
give reading for her daughter, [
1104], born in ..., N.Y.
4/21/27, living at ..."
REPORTS
4/22/36 Mother requested a Physical Rdg. for her other two
sisters, Miss [
1178] and Mrs. [
1185], saying: "In regard to
results of my experience with my daughter, the battery was
received about five weeks ago and has been in daily operation
since. It is, of course, early to tell as to the results,
but hope to be able to report favorably in the near future."
5/04/36 EC's letter making appointments for her sisters: "I
know it is too soon for you to feel able to tell a great deal
about your daughter's condition, but do you find that the use
of the Appliance has quieted her in any way? Do you see any
change in the general mien of the individual? In a few cases
similar, these are the first things that have been noted; a
little difference in the excitability of the body, or the
ability for the body to control itself a little better, and a
gradual change in the mien. Of course, it is going to
require time - but it will be worth it if she can be brought
to a nearer normal condition."
GD's note: There is a notation in the folder that [
1104] was
a Mongolian [Down's Syndrome] case. Perhaps this information
was given on the phone to Mr. Cayce, because there is no
indication of it in the correspondence. Perhaps she was just
mentally retarded and the "Mongolian" [Down's Syndrome]
notation was just a guess by someone trying to index the
reading.
5/16/36 Mother's letter: "With reference to my daughter,
[
1104], have noted recently that there appears to be evidence
of less excitability of the body, with the following result:
For the past nine days, with one exception, she slept thru
the night and was dry on awakening. This condition occurred
only on rare occasions heretofore. As a rule she disturbed
me at least once during the night and each time arose wet.
Will be glad to advise you of any additional changes."
11/13/36 Mother requested a Physical Rdg. saying: "[
1104]
goes to a special class in school and is not at home until
after four o'clock."
12/11/36 Mother submitted questions: "Anything I could do to
cure [
1104] from bed-wetting? Would like to have her lose
some weight, which I do not think comes from eating. What
can we do to remedy this? Shall I continue the battery
treatments?"
12/15/36 See
1104-2.
