This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at The Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 25th day of November, 1922, in accordance with request made by those in charge.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, the abnormal conditions as we find in this body have to do with the elimination and the affect this has body produced upon the organs throughout the system.
2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [1112], we are speaking of. The blood in its circulation shows the affect of poor elimination throughout, hence carries within its action the effect as produced by this condition. There is not sufficient of the red blood corpuscles, there is an over amount of the white. The poor elimination is shown in the action over the liver and the kidneys and their action over the organs directly under their functioning, also, the affect it has produced over the system where we come in conjunction with the action of the organs of the sensory system and the affect this poor elimination has on the functioning. In the nerves, we find the same force expressed about the centers governing the action between the sensory organism and the cerebro-spinal forces. Through the liver and spleen and kidneys, the action is expressed more through the lymphatic circulation than the nerve centers, though the effect to the nervous system comes much into the same channels as those of the nerves to the ends of the centers governed by these, hence this condition as produced across the body about the diaphragm.
3. The functioning organs themselves show the action of this blood in its circulation through the organs themselves, so we find a body that is not always sick with a specific condition, but one rather given to complaining of various ailments to portions of the body, the body being at dis-ease, that is, hurting at times, you see. The seat of the troubles that are apparent in the system producing these conditions is from auto intoxication or intoxication, you see, toxins through the system.
4. To give the proper incentives to the whole body would be to give the perfect elimination throughout the whole system to prevent this re-occuring from time to time in the body. You see, it causes pains in the head when the affect is directly on the nerves feeding to the pneumogastric action to those governing the lumbar plexus, so that the body has pains across the small of the back down to the groin and to the extremities, at times.
5. Now, to relax as we have given would be to give that, that would produce perfect assimilation and perfect elimination. We would take in the system, this:

   Tincture of Valerian................4 ounces,
Bromide of Potassium..............1/4 ounce,
Elixir of Calsaya [Calisaya]........4 ounces,
Potassium Iodide...................20 grains,
Capcicum............................3 grains.
Sufficient simple syrup to make 10 ounces.

   The dose would be teaspoonful after each meal.
6. Every second day let the body be well massaged along the whole length of the spine with the electric vibrator. Do that.
7. (Q) Mr. Cayce, what kind of an electric vibrator would be used on this body for the treatment?
   (A) That with which we give the electric massage, those electrically driven, not the electricity in the system. For the massage, the electrically driven machine, you see.
