(Physical Suggestion)

EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1117].
As we find, the disturbing conditions arise from adhesions and lesions; that are caused from the lack of the proper care when these were first happening in the body. These have been effective, of course, through the organs of the pelvis, and then - becoming somewhat infectious - have, carrying on through the system, caused a humor in the blood that has entered into the activity of the glands of the system.
Thus disturbances are produced that become very aggravating to the body at times, throughout the activities of the physical forces.
In the BLOOD SUPPLY irritations are produced that, affecting through the organs themselves, become such as to cause less and less of the ability to create activities that would become other than irritating to already disturbed and irritated tissue.
We find in the NERVOUS SYSTEM there is rather a RACKING upon the nervous portions of the system, affecting the body both in the physical and at times even in the mental; producing strains throughout the whole of the body itself.
Then, in the present, as we find:
We would first begin with taking internally small quantities of Atomidine; one minim of morning before meals, one minim of evening before retiring, in half a glass of water. Increase this amount each day one minim (that is, one minim added each morning and each evening) until five minims are being taken twice a day - morning AND evening.
Then leave off same for three days. Then begin over again with the one minim, increasing each day as indicated.
At least once a week, or oftener if the irritations become so aggravated as to cause distresses through those portions of the system, we would use a douche - or a vaginal douche - in these proportions: To half a gallon of lukewarm water add half a teaspoonful of the Atomidine. This should be used not in a spiral douche but rather in a Fountain douche - or Fountain Syringe, see? This should be kept or held as long as possible (that is, for a few moments) before being expelled.
Also it would be well to use the Atomidine solution (in the same strength as for the douche) to sponge off those portions of the body where there are irritations; about the mammary glands, or those portions where there are swellings - as seen in the groin and under the arm - the irritations there. This will be found helpful; not done too often, but just sponge off with same.
We would begin with the NEUROPATHIC treatments for an equalization of the whole circulation, and to remove the tensions upon the nerve forces of the body.
Be mindful of the diet, that there is a refraining from fats - especially. No butter. Little of coffee or any stimulants. Rather stick to vegetables and fruits than nuts.
And we would find we would make for a much nearer normal condition for this body.

3/02/36 Mrs. [1010]'s letter: "We had some delay in procuring Atomidine, couldn't get it here or in B'ham so sent to N.Y. She is improving but like me so awfully constipated and do not know what to take. She is taking enemas but has to take some kind of laxative... She will write you in a month from beginning of treatments."
3/09/36 EC's letter to [1010]: "Try Agarol for the constipation - it is mineral oil with a bit of phenophthalein in it, as I understand, and is not so habit forming as some others of the same nature."
3/17/36 [1117]'s letter to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I began taking your treatment nearly a month ago I thought best to write to you & let you know how I am progressing. I feel much better than I did My out look on life has changed considerable. I feel like now I am going to get well. Will be four weeks tomorrow since I have taken a Veracolste [?] tablet. I have taken senna twice salts [?] once & I take enemas. My friends tell me I look better. May I tell you what I eat for breakfast. I have grapenut flakes with a few raisins & a glass of milk & an egg two pieces of toast for lunch. I have two raw vegetables carrots & cabbage & cooked spinach brand muffins with raisins in them, a glass of milk & two pieces of can pears or other fruit twice a week. Breast of chicken also asparagus about twice a week & other vegetables. For eve meal soft boiled egg two spoons of well cooked grits & two pieces of thin toast & a glass of milk. All agree with me. Oh! I forgot to tell you at 10:30 in the A.M. when I get back from town from buying my groceries I eat an apple. Something I have not done in years. They would give me colic & I would nearly die. I have some trouble with mucus in my nose & throat. The left side of my head is sore when I turn it I did use Albo-Mist [?] in my nostrils. Hurt me all in my head on left side. When use drops, if I can recover from constipation I'll be more than glad. My bowels or rather intestines feel more like they have a little life in them.
Do you deem it necessary for me to have an osteopathic treatment every day after I take my medicine. I have had 4 & 5 times a week for the past month. Can't I drop down to twice a week? They cost me so much. I want you to give me another reading Friday afternoon or Saturday P.M. I will stay home those two days or rather afternoons. I have so much confidence [?] in you, after I heard that you are a Christian. I have faith in my Heavenly Father & he works through you. 3/27/36 Letter verifying appointment: "I have improved so much. My friends think so too. I feel so thankful to our heavenly Father from whom all good things come. I feel that God is curing me through you. I have a mucus which drops from behind the palate into my throat. I console myself that when I am built up that will subside. My right arm is better. I could not raise it to my head when I began your treatment, now I can use it any way I wish. I am so much better. May the Lord bless you and each of your family."
