9/23/41 "Mr. Cayce, as your work leads you into our innermost
thoughts and actions, I am coming to you for advice. [First
part of letter reported in
1123-3 Par. R2, for her 18 yr. old
son.
"You made readings for my husband and myself some years ago.
At that time you told me to get along with Mr. [
1205] with
loving indifference. I have tried but I do not always
succeed. Mr. [
1205] had a nervous breakdown several years
ago. He was in the Veterans' Hospital at Mt. Alto. After he
came out he got a job as Deputy U.S. Marshal. This job
keeps him continually working with crime. He is of Irish
descent, very imaginative, etc. I am older than he and in my
work I have a much larger income than he. We will have been
married 21 years next March 4th. He has a bad case of
inferiority complex. I believe he has gotten so that he
looks for everything to belittle me, etc. I could stand that
but he has also picked on [
1123] to such an extent that the
boy begins to show it. I have tried to protect the boy and
altogether it is getting him neurotic. I have told [
1123]
his father is sick mentally but Mr. [
1205] is so unreasonable
it is too much to explain. I have never separated from Mr.
[
1205] as I thought he needed me but now I think I have made
a bad mistake. I should have separated long ago and he would
have been better off.
"I am or will be 62 on Nov. 25th. Mr. [
1205] is 42 or was on
June 26th. Mr. [
1205] drinks considerably, he tries to get
away from facts that way but of course it cannot be done.
His life seems to be for [
1123] and I but he makes life
unbearable for both of us. It seems Mr. [
1205] has never
grown up as far as responsibility is concerned. He has a
very bright mind, a wonderful memory but biased.
"If he lives he will have many more years ahead of him. I do
not have so many. I enjoy my work. I feel that I am a help
to those who come to me for aid, but when I go home it is all
turmoil. I have tried to have vision. I have asked Mr.
[
1205] to go some place else where he can live as he would
like but he will not do so. He professes to hate it where we
live but he will not allow any peace by going.
"I have my practice here and would like to see my son thru
college. What shall I do? I must have more mental and
spiritual rest.
"If you think you can help me, I am at my office, ... Rd.,
every day from 8:15 to 6:00 except Sat. I am here from 8:15
to 12 then. I go out at noon to get a little lunch.
"I will send a check to cover expense."

Background:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I will set aside a few moments each day for prayer and Divine
guidance - may we all be given more power to do God's will.
I am thankful for your friendship.
Sincerely, [
1125]
3/13/50 She wrote of visiting her son [
1123] and his wife and
their little daughter.
12/27/50 Report extracted by GD from Sherwood Eddy's new
book, YOU WILL SURVIVE AFTER DEATH, page 99 in the chapter
regarding Edgar Cayce - Dr. [
1125] was the 8th doctor
interviewed:
No. 8, Washington, D.C.: (1) Eleven cases. (2) Diagnosis
very good, especially of the mental state of patients.
(4) In all cases I treated I was able to get results. (5) I
think the readings of Mr. Cayce are wonderful. I presume you
would call it supernormal. I think he has the power to
contact a higher vibration, or that which is eternal.
8/01/53 See letter under
1205-1 Reports.
10/06/53 Mrs. [
1770] wrote of getting a splendid treatment
from Dr. [
1125]: "She helped me. She works four days a week
- is 74 yrs. old. Give a splendid treatment."
