8/24/54 CASE HISTORY OF DR. [
1135], by his third ex-wife:
The country was still staggered and reeling by the
precipitous blow of Pearl Harbor and true to his type Dr.
[
1135], a psychologist, decided that he had to do something
about it immediately. He had been too young to get into the
shooting part of World War I, having just come under the age
wire at the tail end. He was put into a Private's uniform
and shipped to a farm to raise vegetables which he loathed.
This time, he was too old for active duty and being a
specialist in the field of Public Opinion, he dashed off to
Washington to see if he could be of use in this field.
After a number of interviews, none of which offered an
immediate opening he came home discouraged. It was not long
before he had a new idea. He loved boats and water. Living
on navigable water and having the means with which to indulge
himself, he had had several varieties of sailboats. There
was a desperate need in the Coast guard, and as he put it,
having had no fun in the last war he would make amends in
this one via the Coast Guard.
He passed the Navy I.Q. test with the score of 175, was
slated to be a Lieutenant Commander and came home to learn
navigation. (note "yet the abilities of the entity in the
reckonings through the stars...are still a portion of these
records in the Persian experiences of that period." 1135-1.
Destiny, however, had a different role for him to play. He
was urgently called back to Washington. Minds had been made
up that an Opinion Expert was needed and he was persuaded to
go.
Within a few months he was switched to O.W.I Domestic
Intelligence Service, working closely with O.S.S., and then
to O.W.I. Overseas. He finished the war in charge of a
technical school, training men to drop behind enemy lines
right on the spot where he had "mapped and laid out the plans
for the campaigns by Howe, Clinton, and those in charge of
those portions of the service in that particular portion of
the land." 1135-1
Of intense interest to those who find the answers to many of
the "why's of life in the theory of rebirth; and to those
still wondering, is the fact that although Dr. [
1135] spent a
week with Mr. Cayce and sat in on many, many "readings" in
1936 and was heard to say that "he didn't know what he had,
but he knew that he was no fake", his own reading, and those
of others that were obtained at that time, have been dropped
completely from his mind. He has been out of touch with the
Association for years.
9/21/56 Dr. [
1135] signed and returned a membership blank, a
gift membership to him in A.R.E. by his third ex-wife.
5/08/58 She told us that last year Dr. [
1135] had married
again for the fifth time. Her marriage had lasted 10 years,
longer than any of the rest. In the latter years of their
marriage he insisted on much drinking and that she drink with
him, so that even now it is still quite a problem for her.
She mentioned a terrific sex drive which she became a part of
during her marriage to him. She questioned him about having
only one marriage mentioned when he was written up in Who's
Who, and he said that too many marriages would not look so
good in that setting.
1/22/63 HLC rec'd a letter from her saying that Dr. [
1135]
died in his sleep 4:05 A.M.,
1/04/63; had suffered two strokes
and was blind, etc.
