This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Harrison home, 56 Highland Circle, Bronxville, N.Y., this 7th day of November, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [1151], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [1151] and Mrs. [1158], Grace and Jean Teslof, and Hugh Lynn Cayce.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you [1151], born Feb. 12, 1889, in Brooklyn, N.Y., who is present in this room. You will consider the records of this entity and answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the soul entity, [1151] as called in the present.
3. A great light appears to shine upon much of that record, in the efforts that are being made in the present as related to those that become such a part of the experience in the present - prompting again that counsel as taken one with another from the walk to Emmaus, as well as that which came from the counsel of those with the entity's report.
4. But ready for questions.
5. (Q) Was I once incarnated as Agrippa, assisting Augustus Caesar in governing the Roman Empire?
   (A) That incarnation, as we have indicated, was not as Agrippa but rather as that emissary - not as one that was almost but ALTOGETHER persuaded during those experiences. Assisted in the government, to be sure, but not as Agrippa.
6. (Q) I have been told by another psychic [Horace Hambling's Moon Trail] that this was so.
   (A) A contemporary at the time, yes; not as Agrippa - oh, so much greater in the influence; especially among those so persecuted by others!
7. (Q) In what previous incarnations have I known the entity now called Jean Alexis Teslof, and in what associations?
   (A) The entity's associations were during the latter portion of the entity's sojourn in the Roman, the Palestine land; and that entity now called Teslof was then a gatherer of what became the first attempts to put together the raising of Lazarus as in inset, or as a frieze, or as a combination of colors.
   The entity's association then with that entity were as a friend, and relations that brought much in common of their deeper thought.
8. (Q) Who was Jean Alexis Teslof at that time?
   (A) Cineman, of the Grecians; but of the Palestine and Roman activities.
9. (Q) Was he an artist?
   (A) An artist, but not a painter. Rather that that would make mosaics, or setting of stones and colors and lights to make or produce same.
10. (Q) Would a Life Reading prove constructive for the entity Jean Alexis Teslof?
    (A) It should!
    The experience of data or information as concerning the application of an individual entity during sojourns in the earth, and its activities at such periods as well as the application through what may be called the astrological aspects, is for constructive purposes.
    And as each entity has individual or definite experiences or activities to be regulated or guided, or prompted in activities, it lends assurance - if there comes the answer to the self WITHIN to prompt self in seeking.
    For as the will of each soul is that it may make itself as one with the Creator yet knowing itself to be itself, then that which would aid or help, or give hope, or give that which would be as a helpful experience would be well. This is the purpose of such information.
    That which would prompt or direct, or force, or call for that which would bind, becomes destructive.
    Hence there must be the answer WITHIN!
    When there is the answer, then such information - as we find - may be given in such a way and manner that, applied, would be helpful. [11/15/37 See 1158-10, Par. 10-A--23-A.]
11. (Q) In what previous incarnations have I known the entity now called Herbert A. Enochs, and how associated?
    (A) This we find rather as a correlative influence.
    As has been indicated for the entity, there are periods of activity when an influence (disincarnate) would give spiritual aid or help. The association was closer there with that individual, rather than with the entity now called [1151].
    Do not allow confusions. But the spirit of truth or life or light, or constructive forces, as it may course through the lives of individuals, becomes so correlative as to be shadowed by others, see?
    Hence that entity so correlated with the experiences or life of Garfield (?) as to become that detrimental influence in the EXPERIENCE; and thus the influence, the associations of activities that do not always coincide. For they run as one against another; and others correlating.
12. (Q) Is it possible and advisable for me to study singing this winter?
    (A) This would become, to be sure, a consideration from the physical AND the mental and spiritual aspects.
    Would be well from the spiritual application. From the mental conditions as would be wrought, from the physical some consideration would necessarily be given - for the best activity in same.
    But as these should become a part of the entity's care or precaution as a whole, then as WE would find, most advisable to do so.
13. (Q) When would it be possible?
    (A) After those changes that will come soon after the first of the year.
14. (Q) What moves must I make to swiftly bring forth additional income?
    (A) As we find, as has been indicated, well that those associations be made aware more of the needs, not only of the services the entity has rendered in the corporations that are being kept but for the needs of self. These should make for immediate changes in that direction.
15. (Q) How can I improve the results of my work this winter?
    (A) Keep on applying those principles, those policies that have been set as a part of self, and this becomes so much a part of the whole of the activities in those directions as to be that as may be said - if ye have sown the seed that are good, they are bringing, they will bring forth good fruit.
16. (Q) What definite steps must I take to settle the differences between [1266] and [1265]?
    (A) Ye are still dealing with those that are set as to their own individual personalities in manners that have not considered all phases. Only in that of a consistent and persistent INSISTENCE that there BE a "get together," a consideration of all the purposes of each in their relationships to that as they have been, they are, and that they hope to leave as that accomplished in the present.
17. (Q) Is there anything else you have to appraise me with at the present?
    (A) Much might be given on many various phases of kindred interests. To attempt to counsel or even to interfere in counsel of that being attempted in the INDIVIDUAL activities of the entity would be beside the questions.
    In the general interests of the labor situations, that with the known activities - or the activities in such ways as are being carried forward - do not be disturbed so long as there is not a united front. But hold to thy position, thy counsel, thy policy. Not merely of parley but of considerations of the BASIC truth; that each entity, each soul, from the MATERIAL angle, is his brother's keeper.
    Let thy meditation, thy deeper counsel with thy inner self be ever:
    "OPEN THOU MY MIND AND HEART, OF GOD, TO THE NEEDS OF MY FELLOW MAN: AND HELP ME IN CONSIDERING SUCH TO KNOW THAT I - AS THY SERVANT, AS THY CHILD - MAY SHOW THY LOVE, AS WAS SHOWN IN HIM - WHO SO WELL DEMONSTRATED MUCH THAT SEEMETH TURMOIL MUST COME ABOUT.
    "But keeping the face to the light, and the activities of the heart and the purposes of the mind and SOUL to do RIGHT, will bring, does bring, the consciousness of THY directing influence."
