5/12/43 Wife's letter: "I feel remiss in not having written
you immediately after receiving the help from you for [
1151].
He was really a very sick man the morning I phoned you, but
after following for two days the program outlined he not only
was relieved of pain but able to resume his regular active
duties on Monday. He was profoundly grateful and asked me
to write you, at once, as he left that morning (Monday)
for Washington, D.C., and has been on the move ever since.
Pressure of events here, however, interfered with my writing
before, so please accept my apologies on my behalf and my
husband's. It is difficult to describe our thanks, for
without the advice that came thru you we would be have been
obliged to call a doctor, in which case [
1151] might still
be sick. As it was, he never lost grasp on the duties of his
daily work. He was taken sick on Friday night and was back
on the job Monday morning, due to the help that came thru
you. God bless you and keep you in His loving care."
8/11/44 He obtained his last reading, a Ck. Physical -
1151-32.
