TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. While conditions are improved from that we have once had here, the body should take those precautions of not overtaxing self; else we are going to have a disturbance in the heart, liver and kidneys.
4. For there is an engorging yet in the thrombose area. This accounts for the periods when there tends to be swelling in the lower portion of the limbs, and in the feet, if the body sits down to rest of evening. This accounts also for the tiredness and the headaches.
5. We would follow those outlines that have been made for the body, for the corrections to be made and then the removal of tensions by relaxing more often.
6. The adjustments and the colonic irrigations would be the preferable manner of keeping down this blood pressure as well as correcting the lack of proper eliminations through the body.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Should he rest during the day?
   (A) A very good manner: After breakfast work a while. After lunch rest a while, after dinner walk a mile.
9. (Q) Is rupture serious enough to wear truss at all times?
   (A) It'll be much more serious if he doesn't wear it. But if there are the proper corrections and the proper character of support prepared, this should heal itself - if sufficient rest is kept and there is not too much lifting and walking on the feet.
10. (Q) What can be done for cramps in limbs at night?
    (A) Do what we have indicated - the massage and the irrigations.
11. (Q) Are there indications of the return of illness he suffered three years ago?
    (A) Haven't we just been talking about it - just been warning that unless corrections are made now the body will be in a worse fix than three years ago!
Do those things as indicated. And take time to be holy.
12. We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND

1. See 1170-4 on 1/31/41.
2. 12/15/43 Wife submitted questions: "What causes shortness of breath? What is seeming pain in chest bone when there is exertion? Is he working too hard, or too long hours? Should he rest during the day?", etc.

REPORTS

1. 1/27/44 Wife's letter: "Mr. [1170] has improved since starting what treatment I can. There is no osteopath here, but the other treatment has done wonders, he no longer has the cramps, and the little exercise he takes requires less effort, so I am encouraged... With the limited help we can get now all of us are working to our capacity. I do feel it has been telling on [1170]."
2. 10/16/44 "I would like a reading for Mr. [1170] at as early date as you can give us... He has been so well all summer but as the weather changes he does not seem so well."
3. 3/01/45 Wife's letter to GD subscribing to the Diary-Letter: "I do want to keep in touch with the activities of the Ass'n. I feel the loss of Mr. Cayce so very much - hardly know how to express my feelings. I hope my attitude is not altogether selfish, but I do feel lost, for so long I have sent to him when in trouble and he has always given me such wonderful help. I feel Mr. [1170] would not be living today had it not been for the directions I got from the readings. Many have been interested through knowing of our help received. So I feel by keeping in touch by your diary-letters we can still reach the source of help.
"I can't imagine Virginia Beach without Edgar Cayce. My prayer is that all of you may be lead in paths of service, as I am sure you will be."
