1/12/80 GD's note: Dolly Pam, masseuse (now Dora E.
Friedheim, 5336 Kester Ave., Van Nuys, Ca. 91411), became
an A.R.E. member via our MDM mailing. She wrote:
"Dear Friends: You really are, for there have been so many
years that blessed my life through the contact made in the
1930's.
"I attended the [
1173] family, giving a relaxing nerve
treatment. The son I treated [
1173] had returned home from a
European trip and was in a state of exhaustion. The family
were members of the A.R.E. and wrote [Edgar Cayce] asking
for approval of my treatments. [See
1173-5, Par. 18-A and
1173-8, Par. 11-A, 18-A.] They showed me the answer. Edgar
Cayce approved me, as a 'healing vessel', and at first gave
some simple directions as to procedure, later on wrote I was
on my own inspiration. It was a most amazing experience!
"For some years now I have been retired - being 88 years
of age; it is time for fond memories.
"New York was the place of the active years. I took a State
Board Examination and received my license to practise in the
early 1930's. Dr. Clinton E. Achorn, Osteopathic Physician,
shared his office with me and I learned much from his
experience. He had his own college in Boston, Mass., years
before being in New York. His wife and son had also been
in practice with him. They had passed on years before I met
him. The association was for five years and I had to leave
N.Y. to attend my dear mother in California.
"My mother's condition was Asthma and the three medical
doctors attending her were amazed that the passive treatments
helped more than the medicines. Her precious life was given
four years more time than they had hoped for and at the
time of her passing she went to sleep, peacefully, and was
conscious to the last. My first experience with death!
It was amazing and it was merciful!
"The Examining Board in Los Angeles approved the medical
references from N.Y. and the two from L.A., so I began my
practice in California. The first year was amazing. I was
treating members of the Motion Picture industries, from the
David Selznick and family to the actors and members of the
citizens.
"When Madame Chiang Kai-Shek came to Los Angeles I was sent
to treat her. It became a beautiful friendship.
"Looking back now, it seems strange that I was active 18
to 20 hours a day, driving to the homes of these prominent
actors and to people from all walks of life. It is truly
a beautiful memory and my prayers of gratitude to God never
cease.
"Thank you for the invitation to be a member of the A.R.E.,
it is inspiring!"
Sincerely, [signed] Dora E. Friedheim
P.S. "My professional name was Dolly Pam and it was very
well known. My check for membership is enclosed. This
will be an inspiring experience for the new 1980's -
Blessings!"
