This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of July, 1936, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [1158], through Associate Membership of her husband in the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces; that are latent and manifested in the personalities of the present entity, called [1179] - (My! What a large volume!).
2. In giving that as we find that may be helpful for this entity, these as we find would be well to consider by those that are responsible or have the opportunity in the present for directing the mental experiences for the entity, that:
3. Each period of the entity's sojourn in the earth should be given it as a study without the knowledge other than it is a portion of the entity's experience, and thus bring in this developing consciousness the awareness of the entity's relationships with the varied periods of the earth's progress in the relationships of man's relationship to Creative Forces, AS in relationship to man's relation one to another.
4. For these, as we find, are unusual in so far as the experiences in the earth are concerned, especially.
5. For the astrological aspects are such that there lies innate in the activities of the entity the URGES, yet these are so manifested that the emotions - or those senses - or that which may be called intuitive (which is rather the combination, or the reasoning FROM something that is developed within the individual entity from its associations of activities with ideals in varied consciousnesses - Get that!) - become to the entity as experiences. And if they are guided aright, in such measures, in such manners that they may become as a directing influence, we may have those forces manifesting wherein many peoples of many lands, of many tongues, of many associations, may be benefitted by those lessons and truths that the entity may bring to others.
6. Yet DO NOT confuse the entity or let its imaginations, by visions held before its IDEALS are set. Hence in its developing years set the ideals in the Christ CHILD, in the Christ's developing childhood, in the Christ as a lover of children, in the Christ that gave, "of such is the kingdom of heaven."
7. These should be the ideals. And we will find that those influences from Mercury make for the high mental and intuitive forces; those from Venus make for the love, the sympathy, the conditions in the experience of the entity where it becomes so sensitive to likes and dislikes of others - even as to foods, as to associations, as to recreations, as to the social orders, as to state, as to religious experiences.
8. And the entity is sensitive to those particularly where sincerity and policy is the ruling factor. For these to the entity, the ruling policy is not always sincerity.
9. The influences from Jupiter make for those inclinations in the experience for the relationships with great numbers of peoples, APPROACHED rather individually.
10. Neptune makes for love of water.
11. Uranus - being the extreme astrological activity - makes for the mystical.
12. And these all become a portion astrologically of the entity now called [1179].
13. As to the appearances in the earth, we find that these are many - and these all in this developing period, especially for the next fourteen years, will have an influence of a nature dependent upon the opening of those vistas of the mental forces in directions indicated as to how far-reaching same will gradually become.
14. Before this we find the entity was in the land then known as Vinland, during those periods when disturbances arose owing to individuals' activity in and about Salem, and the teachers and the individuals.
15. The entity then was in the name of Faith Henderson, that suffered materially, physically, because of the experiences with influences outside of the self - and made same as a part of the daily experience.
16. Hence we find the entity will be aware of such influences; yet as intuitive forces guide or direct in the emotions or individuals about the entity, the entity notes same.
17. The entity is fearful of experiences, but if there is that understanding of how to meet same as He gave, and in that tenderness of care, in that lovingness of expression as He gave, these may become beautiful experiences.
18. And the love of make-believe, the love of those things of pomp, those things of etiquette that make for the lady, the lady's waiting maid, in the lady's chamber, in the lady's direction for entertainments, all arise from those experiences.
19. Well to note all. DO NOT laugh or make slight expressions because of those things, but rather guide them into those influences that are expressed by Him, "In my Father's house are MANY mansions; if it were not so I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place that where I am there ye may be also."
20. Rather in that vein, in that line of expression or experience may the direction be brought to the entity, lest fear overtake again.
21. Before that we find the entity was in the Palestine land, during that period when the Master walked in the earth, during those periods when there were great understandings and great turmoils about those especially of the city of Bethany when Lazarus was raised from the grave; when those of the followers, those of the sisters - Martha, Mary - made preparation for the supper, after the resurrection or the bringing to life of the brother.
22. The entity then as a neighbor child, and as a child of Cleopas, in the name Susane, saw those activities, saw also the fears created by those in authority who questioned the child and the parents and those about the feast.
23. Also the entity heard the words of the teacher, the Master; and these especially then as indicated come to mean a great deal to the entity. Also if the entity is questioned, if there is given to the entity the experiences of the childhood of those nigh unto Him, it will be able to depict in its own, not imagination but in its own experience by turning into the mirror of life and seeing those forces, those experiences that were had by them. As an experience, ask "What do you suppose was served at that supper?" and find HOW many things that are not known in the men of today will be recalled by the entity!
24. In those things then keep the balance for the entity, that they do not become as mysteries, as strange tales, but rather as the LIVING Christ, as the living example for men and women. As a neighbor, as a brother, as a savior, show Him to THIS entity - in that light.
25. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, as now known, when there were those healings and those teachings that were enacted there in 'the city in the hills and in the plains.'
26. The entity then was among the Persians, not of the high caste in the beginning; yet when there were those interpretations, those healings for the body, those correlations of the activities that ALL are equal before the Creative Forces and emanate from the one source and cause, the entity as an individual made personal, practical application of the laws of the Law; there came then that brotherhood, that understanding which may be applied in the present as then.
27. Then in the name Lulobelle, the entity gained through the aid, the help, the interpretations.
28. Hence we may find in the present experience that music, dancing, should be a portion of the entity's development; a physical exercise that makes for the developing of the body as in athletics of the nature for the period of developing in the present. And these as in what may be called aesthetic dancing in the present, elocution, expression, should be a portion of the entity's development. Not for its activities other than to give the expression of that which is innate and that must arise from the entity's developing of its own soul force in its dealings with, its teachings for, its fellow man; not only its own experience but its readings, its writings, its activities as the entity then gained through those experiences there that made for developments. So may it in association and in conjunction with the teacher in the present become more and more aware OF that as is the helpful force in the experience of itself in aiding others to understand THEIRSELVES and their relations to others.
29. Before that we find the entity lived in that period when there were those in the land of the inter-between, or that between the lands then of Eden - that was between the Euphrates, or where the Red Sea, the Dead Sea NOW occupy - was the entity's dwelling land.
30. There we find the entity was an associate and a companion of one Tubal-Cain, the first of the sons that had been made perfect to become an associate with those of OTHER activities in the earth.
31. The entity withdrew, and made for those activities that brought about that which is the cry of those that are wounded in body, wounded in spirit, wounded in soul.
32. Then in the name (as would be called) Su-Su-Lu, though it was a trying and a testing experience, the entity gained. For the entity made overtures to those of the daughters of Eve (in person - that Eve of the garden, that Eve who made for the activities). Though the entity then was the seventh, tenth generations, it made overtures in PERSON - in the age at those periods.
33. In the present experience we will find the entity seeking the association, desiring the association of those much its elder. Not that the periods of its own childhood, not that the periods of the recreation and all developments are not a portion of it, but periods when the tales, the counsels, the imaginations of those of elderly years are sought by the entity.
34. DO NOT FORBID, but DO direct.
35. Before that we find the entity was in that land now known as the American, when there were those periods of those peoples from what is called On (?) (or Peru), Lemuria, the changes in the earth surface.
36. The entity then was in that land now known as a portion of Arizona and Utah, THEN in the name Ummmum.
37. Then the entity was among the first that were active in the experiences making for the settlings into groups for protection from the influences from without, as well as for the aiding in COUNSELLING to those as their developments came in the earth.
38. As to the abilities of the entity, then:
39. These are only to that end that there is the opportunity and the directing in its developing years.
40. KEEP those things then that have been given. For the law is perfect, and training the child - when it is old it will not depart, but will draw nigh; even as the entity did in those experiences in Bethany, as the entity did in those experiences in the 'city in the hills and plains.' And the help that the entity may give, so MAY that be those activities, those developments, in the present.
41. We are through for the present.
