TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
2. As we find, there are still a great many changes since we had this before. Most, for the present, are for the betterment.
3. There are still those things and those conditions as we find that would be helpful, not only in keeping the gain that has been made but in assisting to alleviate the disturbances which prevent the body from gaining more.
4. Also there are still those effects of the poisons in the system, and the effect these have upon the lower hepatic circulation is indicated by the disturbances in the muscular portions and through the small and upper portions of the back.
5. We also find the eliminations disturbed, or not sufficient of the right character.
6. We would keep the vibratory forces that have been indicated for the body, but these we would keep more in order and the plates and the anodes clean; as well as seeing that some of the connections are in order.
7. The oil rubs we would not use; but we would find that equal portions of the Mutton Tallow, Spirits of Turpentine, Spirits of Camphor combined, and a flannel saturated with same and put over those portions along the spine where the disturbing conditions exist, will assist in alleviating the pain. It is not necessary that these properties be heated, owing to the general temperature and the tendency for the body to absorb or to perspire with an irritation of the nature which would allow for great absorption for the body under the existent conditions.
8. We would, however, be more mindful as to the diet; and as the seasons change it will be well that there be more of the vegetables, and at least one or two vegetables or a combination of vegetables taken raw (but fresh).
9. The Eno Salt - a teaspoonful taken each morning before any meal for five days, then left off for a week and then begun again, and this procedure repeated for three to four periods or rounds - would aid in cleansing the system, and be a mild activity upon the kidneys in alleviating the drosses from the system.
10. For the activity of the digestive forces, about once a day, after whatever meal is the heavier meal of the day (for the body alters same in the present), we would take about a quarter teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth and six minims (drops) of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin stirred in half a glass of water. This would be taken about twenty or thirty minutes after the heavy meal. Take this for three days, leave off for three days, then take again.
11. We would have osteopathic manipulations of a general nature during those periods when the distresses are the greater, for equalizing and creating a better balance.
12. Do these as we find for this body.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) How long should the Appliance be used at a time now?
    (A) For an hour.
15. (Q) How long should this course of treatments be kept up?
    (A) As indicated, each course should be repeated some three to four times; and then if necessary repeat again.
16. (Q) Why did the oils described in last Reading cause terrible rash on body?
    (A) An activity upon the reactions through the system in making for adjustments in the circulatory forces of the body, and non-adherence to the diets during the periods as indicated.
These oils are not to be used, as given, during the hot seasons.
17. (Q) What is the cause of the backache?
    (A) As indicated, poisons and congestions from the lower hepatic circulation.
18. We are through for the present.
