This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, New York, this 9th day of November, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - through her brother, Mr. [...], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1199]; this we have had before.
2. As we find, while there are some changes, these are for improvements. While slight in the outward reactions as yet, there are the internal inclinations and tendencies for an eased condition of the portions of the system where hindrance is indicated in locomotion.
3. And this as we find may be in the present taken advantage of, especially by the one making the applications of adjustments and treatments osteopathically. Not in moving, to be sure, segments that show the tendency towards ossification, but by making the adjustments in the ganglia, or the pressures and rotary motions in the ganglia, that stimulation may be had to the whole of the cerebrospinal system, and most specific in the lumbar axis, and extend same to the whole of the sciatic centers along the lower limbs and to the feet particularly.
4. We would also find we would keep the other applications that have been indicated.
5. However, about twice to three times each week we would add the use of a rub, with oils combined in this way and manner:
6. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil as the carrier, add - in the order named, and in these proportions:

   Kerosene Oil........................1 ounce,
Oil Of Pine Needles.................1 ounce,
Oil of Wintergreen................1/2 ounce,
Oil of Sassafras Root.............1/2 ounce,
Tincture of Benzoin.................1 ounce.

   These, to be sure, tend to separate, but may be shaken together before the application is made. Pouring a small quantity in a saucer or open container, massage into the body what the body will absorb. Let one who cares for the body make the applications in a rotary and massaging manner, between the shoulders, along the spine in the lower dorsal area and especially across the sacral and the end of the spine; the lower lumbar region also. This then may be sponged off, of course, to keep cleansed; and will be found to be beneficial in bringing to the muscular forces, to the tendons along the torso portion of the body and the structural activities of the whole of the cerebrospinal system, the sacral, the better reaction; and as we find these should gradually make for improvements
7. For as we find, if there will be the consistent following up - though changes may again be necessary - keeping in the attitude of a helpful hopefulness, the mental reaction will be most satisfactory and the body will be able to move about in ways and manners that have been denied for some time.

10. (Q) What is the prognosis of my case?
    (A) As indicated, with a persistent and consistent use of those suggestive forces and the changes and meeting the changes as they arise from time to time, we will find the greater helpful influences for the body-physical.
11. (Q) Any spiritual advice?
    (A) Keep the mind active in constructive thinking, knowing that what has been the lot or as the activities may be used for construction in the whole of the attitude towards Creative Energies. For, all healing must come from that within that is of a spiritual import. Leave the results with the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. Be consistent and persistent in thy physical and thy spiritual and thy mental reactions for the better result. For the laws of the Lord are perfect, converting the soul. And as HE gained the greater concept of man's position in relation to the world by entering into the flesh and suffering through same, know He, thy Lord, thy Master knows and will aid thee in bearing thy material, thy physical burdens.
