2/06/41 Mother's letter: "...I think you will be very
interested to know that [
1204] who graduated from College
the same year as Edgar Evans - has just gotten a job in her
field. She is a teacher of Home Economics and she is
teaching at the ... High School at ..., N.Y., a small town
about 51 miles from Syracuse. Her inability to get a job
or to take one has been the source of very much worry to me
and I think has done much to pull me to pieces as she needed
so much and it just killed me not to give her whatever she
wanted altho she was an excellent sport and got along the
best way she could. She's in debt now, of course, but soon
that will be over and perhaps I can start to build for my
own future. I am very happy about her starting on this
path and it will help me a great deal when she can start
contributing a little to me.
"...So far I have tried to guide [
1204] by my own judgement
and I have been so wrong so many times with the resultant
heartache, etc. I should have had a life reading on her
years ago, but I was afraid she would not follow it. Now
that she has lived with me as an adult and seen many of the
readings and heard so much about the work, I think it would
mean a great deal to her and if your family is well and you
fit it in, [
1204] and I would love to have it. I imagine her
life reading would be very interesting judging from the
strength of her character. I would love to have her follow
in this work and I have tried to do much to influence her
in it. Her full name is [...]. Born 11/19/1918, at 4 A.M.
"...You see how hard it is for each of us to realize our
children are individuals. We just try as long as possible
to mould them and how they fight us but we go on just the
same and always will..."

REPORTS
2/18/41 Extract from Mrs. [
189]'s letter:
"Thanks very much for [
1204]'s Life Reading. I have read it
very quickly but I believe it is what I have been trying to
tell her for years and I hope she will follow it, as I know
it will make her life much happier and richer. I know as the
years go on that she will be very happy with this Reading."
1/08/42 Letter from mother [
189]: "I also thought you
would like to know that [
1204] is married. She married a
Pittsburgh boy. He comes from a good family and is a good
boy but like everyone else is having a time to get a foothold
economically. However, I suppose with conditions what they
are in the world today, what can one expect? The whole world
seems to be topsy turvy and one cannot use one's past
experience for a basis of judgment and so, each of us can
just do the best each day and hop for the best in the long
run."
3/30/42 "[
1204] married a boy named [[...] Gentile name] and
apparently is very happy. She is living in Pittsburgh and
I do get a chance to talk to her every once in a while and
to see her about once a month which makes it nice."
9/25/47 Mrs. [
189] wrote that her daughter and son-in-law
were living with her, and both working, in North Carolina.
1/21/72 General Questionnaire and Personal Questionnaire
were sent via Rosi Hood for Dr. Charles Thomas Cayce, to
[
1204] in care of her mother's address. Envelope was
returned marked DECEASED.
