9/22/37 - 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Questions brought, phoned, by
[

1005]. "Baby no worse apparently, but certainly
no better - apparently. We want to know about what part of
Dr. Taylor's suggestions to follow through tonight, if
any, and what changes to make. Dr. T. apparently doesn't
consider he has anything but an ordinary cold - doesn't take
into consideration the infectious condition suggested in the
Rdg."
1. May anything be substituted for the Oil of Turp (which is
the Oil of Turpentine without the iron)?
2. Should the cough syrup be continued, as prescribed by Dr.
Taylor?
3. Should the Ipecac be given?
4. Should the Vicks Salve be used in his nose instead of the
Vicks Drops?
5. Should the Vicks and flannel be put on his chest and back
tonight?
6. Should we continue the Camphorated Oil rubs?
7. Which is better, the Vicks or Oil, or should both be
used?
8. What about ventilation in the room?
9. Should a window be open in the room with the body?
10. Should the tent method for the fumes be used?
11. Is he being kept too warm?
12. Is he dressed too warmly?
13. Is it dangerous for him to perspire so?
14. Any suggestions we may give to Dr. Taylor in regard
to treating this condition? Does Dr. T. understand his
condition?
15. Should he have another osteopathic treatment? Or just
ask, what methods used last night should be continued
tonight, and what others added or left off?
