This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of October, 1941, in accordance with request made by the aunt - Miss [288], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

Time and Place: 10:55 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. At ... School, ..., Va.

TEXT

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
  2. EC: Yes - not in the school building, or house. [Mistress of school confirmed the fact that he was on the playground at the time of the reading and not "in the school building, or house."]
  3. We have the body here; this we have had before.
  4. As we find, there are those irritations in the throat that need to be corrected, - either by operative measures or by the CONTINUED osteopathic relieving of pressures in the tonsils AND adenoids.
  5. These as we find are the disturbing conditions with the body.
  6. Ready for questions.
  7. (Q) Is he in a good condition for operative measures?
    (A) He is in a very good condition, though there is gradually tending to be poisons thrown into the system - of course - from the cold and congestion at the present.
  8. (Q) Would it be better to continue with the osteopathic treatments?
    (A) This has been indicated before, that if there are the corrective measures and the body responds, WELL; but if there are the continued activities of the condition it will be necessary for the operative forces.

BACKGROUND

  1. Took cold and for last two nights hasn't slept well on account of difficult breathing; almost impossible to breathe through nose at all. Otherwise has been fine all summer - weighed 48 lbs. about a month ago.

REPORTS

  1. 12/14/41 Father [391]'s ltr. indicated that [1208] had shortly after the reading [1208-17] obtained the operation for removal of tonsils and adenoids. The M.D. who performed the operation said the child had the worst case of adenoids he had ever seen and that it was a very difficult operation which verified the reading statement in 1208-16, Par. 9-A.
