INDIVIDUAL CASE REPORT
Name: [
1215] Case No.: 1215-1--
1215-11
(PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS CAREFULLY)
(1) (a) Did the Reading presented to you describe the
condition of the patient? (b) Explain any variation.
(c) Give your technical diagnosis.
(a) Yes.
(b) [No response]
(c) Spinomuscular paralysis from a fracture. Fracture of 3rd
Cervical Vertebra with injury to the spinal cord and spinal
nerves.
(2) Were the suggestions for treatment in your opinion proper
for this condition?
Yes.
(3) For what period of time has the patient followed
directions given in the Reading under your care?
June 1, 1937 to present time.
(4) What results have you observed?
I have hesitated in filing a report until I could report
something definite about Mr. [
1215]. For the first few
months I could only treat him weekly. Now twice weekly.
It seems to me there is more involuntary actions of the
legs and a better control of patient over these actions.
Sensation is a bit more free in the hands with the result
that he can accomplish more with them. Sensation has also
come back a bit farther down in the torso.
(5) Comment.
There is a definite sign of nerve regeneration which in time,
if he follows instructions, may result in fair recovery.
