10/12/38 Letter from [
1215]'s mother [
1348]: "...We were so
glad to get the report, also your own friendly letter.
"We are not discouraged, even though at times it seems a
little long, and I wish for the day when [
1215] will lead
a normal boy's life. In the meantime, he is a great joy
to us for he never complains no matter what he may feel like
inside. He is very companionable and never lacks resources
to take up his waking time.
"We are going along in the same routine prescribed, and hope
and expect things will turn out as they should..."
12/28/38 Letter from [
1215]'s mother [
1348]: "...[
1215]
shows such marked improvement lately it has made us all very
happy. At the same time, we want to be sure we are doing all
that should be done for him, so I am asking if you will
please give him a check reading as soon as you can..."
