As we find, the entity comes under astrological influences,
yet these are only as inclinations or omens. Some the entity
has allowed to become a portion of self in the present, some
have been along the lines that make for not only greater
development in the present but have become the natural tend
or natural trend of activities in the experience of the
entity, in its dealings especially with large numbers of
peoples, in groups. Yet individual activity of those
groups, as well as an influence in the entity's decisions in
relationships to great numbers of peoples in many lands, many
climes, many conditions of environment. Yet these as we find
HAVE been as a part of the entity's experience, where the
decision, the choice, was in the entity's OWN domain. Where
in keeping with constructive spiritual force, development has
ensued. Where for self-indulgence, self-glorification, or
for other than a spiritual influence, questionings have
arisen. And as has been in the experience of the entity,
when there is a question mark after the activities of
individuals, suspicions arise, fears ensue, and there is
builded that which becomes as a barrier in the experiences
of others.
An experience through the earth's plane is for the
development of the soul and not mere chance, nor is there no
rule, no law that governs same. And the applications of the
spiritual laws are just as definite and MORE true and more
sure than those of material orders or material experiences of
a material life.
For as in the material or secular world or rule there are
those causes and effects, there are then PRINCIPLES; or an
ideal as from which ALL such are judged. And so in the
spiritual, in the mental, there are ideals. And these are
constructive, and they be founded in those things that are as
promises in the experience of man; which begin with, "If ye
will be my people, I will be thy God - As the man in his
experience soweth, so shall he reap - I have made thee a
little lower than the angels, that ye might be through thy
choice, through thy activity, not only purged from evil
influence, evil thought, questionable conditions or
experiences, but that ye might be one with me, that ye might
know that glory that ye had WITH me before the worlds were."
And thus do those influences come in the experiences of each
soul.
In the astrological aspects we find Jupiter, Mars and Neptune
as the ruling influences upon the activities of the entity;
not so much their positions but from the entity's sojourn in
those environs between the earthly sojourns - or during those
interims.
Hence we find these as a portion of the entity's experience:
The great numbers of individuals who in one manner or another
are influenced directly and indirectly by choices of the
entity. These are from Jupiter, as those from Mars make for
those things when questionings arise or when wrath, war,
difference, preservation of material ideas, preservation of
material things or conditions in the relationships of groups
become an influence. Anger and wrath also are as a portion
of the entity's experience, and yet these have been rather as
choices - or the ENTITY determining same in the experience.
Neptune influences make water or those things having to
do with water, in various spheres and activity, various
relationships with individuals and groups upon and across
large bodies of water.
And as these have gradually faded, will gradually fade
from the entity's experience, then should there arise in
the latter years or sojourn in this experience a greater
influence in the Venus associations, Venus activity;
making for a more gentleness, a more humbleness, a more
longsuffering experience; more patience with self, with
others, with conditions, with surroundings.
For in patience become ye aware of thy soul. And as those
fruits of the spirit become more and more applied in those
days when there are the turmoils, the tests, the peace
without peace, and the meeting of many of those little
differences, those little intangible prejudices that have
arisen in the experience of the entity, all of these as
applied in the experience may make for the greater soul
development, may make for the meeting of the needs in the
soul and the mental forces of the entity for the greater
advancement, greater development, and bringing harmony, joy,
peace.
For as has been experienced, as may ever be experienced
in the entity's innate and manifested experiences, where
HARMONY, coordination, cooperation exists, THERE is peace,
understanding, and all through love.
In the sojourns in the earth, while there are only a few that
bear upon the experiences of the entity in the present, we
find:
Before this the entity lived in the earth during those early
periods when there were the peoples that journeyed with a
sojourner, an idealist; as those peoples that gathered with
one Colombo.
The entity then was among those who set sail with that entity
or body that sought the way for the joining of the activities
of the Mediterranean with the East Indian, or India, Ceylon,
and those portions of the world or earth.
Then the entity was among those who counseled or aided in
keeping down the strife when there were rebellions upon the
seas, or among those travellers; being in the name then of
Guspesi.
In the experience the entity gained and lost. And much might
be given as to the experiences of the entity in that sojourn,
yet there arises innately and manifestedly in the experience
of the entity in the present - as has been, as is - the urge
of the adventurer, the seeking for the unusual in the unusual
places, the unusual positions; ritual, rote, those things
that had to do with military activities, those things that
had to do with the rules of people, those things that have
to do with the activities that come from keeping peace,
keeping counsel, keeping associations, keeping the better
relationships have arisen, do arise, from the activities
of the entity during that sojourn.
Before that, and the one that should become the greater
portion of the entity's activities from those periods, or
that makes for an activity in THIS sojourn to meet that for
which the soul entered the experience, we find:
The entity lived in the earth during those days when the
Master walked in the land, when there was the ministry and
when there were the teachings and activities of a political
nature as well as of a rabbinistical nature in many lands.
The entity then was a subject of the Roman experience but
among those of the soldiery that came in close contact with
the teachings of the Nazarene.
For the entity then was of Pilate's own guard. The entity
was given the privilege of being the companion or guard for
Pilate's wife that brought their afflicted or epileptic son
to the Master for healing.
Then in the name Romoluon, the entity gained; while in
the material things, social things, the entity was often
questioned. For there arose those periods when there were
the temptations owing to being as one in authority, and for
the rulings against those that followed in the religious
thought these made for turmoils and strife as they have in
the experience. And yet may the entity as in those last
days in that experience turn to NOT as a preacher, not as
a teacher alone; rather as one that may counsel with
those pertaining to combinations or duty with privilege,
opportunity with authority.
These as they coordinate, as they cooperate one with
another, may make for those experiences in the activities
of individuals, as may be given by the entity for a great
understanding.
The entity also may use many of those experiences in the
present toward writing, or dictating, or lecturing; as one
that may bring with these ideas in the experiences as the
theme, the key, an understanding of opportunity and duty,
privilege and authority.
In the light of that as was the experience of the entity may
it bring into the experience of many helpful influences for
gaining in their experiences with their dealings with their
fellow man.
For in the material world we find there are those
relationships with the Creative Forces as deal with the
relationships of the entity or soul with its Maker.
When there is the greater realization that the dealings or
associations with its fellow man are only the meeting of the
God-Force, the soul-force in those activities and lives of
others, how indeed do they become as one - and how necessary
that differences be not sought, those things that arise which
bring fear, contention. If there would be more and more
coordination of the oneness of all, rather than the
differences, how well may 'the earth and the fulness thereof'
be understood by those who know the glory of the Lord through
combining these, rather than seeking differences!
Before that, then, we find the entity was in the land now
known as Egypt.
From the Atlantean land came the entity into Egypt with
Ax-Tell, with Zuron [?], with those peoples who made for the
combining of privileges of peoples in the conveniences of the
home, in the commercial life, in the social life, and the
religious life became as a portion of same.
Hence the entity assisted in combining those activities for
the helpfulness in those experiences in that land.
As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and
that to which it may attain and how:
First study to show thyself approved unto that which is thy
ideal, as set in Him who is the Maker, the Creator or the
Giver of all good and perfect gifts; who came that man might
know and that through Him man might find the way. For He IS
the way, the tree of life, the water of life, the vine. And
as men draw nigh in making the daily application in the
experiences of their relationships as one to another, they
come to the greater understanding.
Apply self in the experiences in correlating those things as
given, and ye will find - as the sunset of this experience
begins - there will come a joy, a harmony, an understanding;
and the voice of experience in the glories of the Lord will
be thine.

as well as spiritual value will come. I think it will
have to do with a 'Peace' condition of great value to
America...
"May I ask a few questions. Was it the purpose of the
Captain's reading to give only those touching on his
present life? Did you receive any other comments that
you did not send? He has often been places that were
most familiar to him. Once navigating ships to Honolu
[Honolulu?] - and Tutuila (Am. Samoa) he did not have
to refer to the charts to navigate the channel entrances
to the rather dangerous harbors. Also in surveying the
mountains of Tutuila once he found a trail from the top
of the highest mountain long lost to the natives. They
left him on the mountain and he went down the lost trail
meeting them on the valley road to their amazement, but
the lost trail was a short cut thru the jungle - and
remembered (recalled) afterward as 'tradition' by the
natives. I merely wish to stress his familiarity with
these Polynesian places, which he had never before
visited nor had he seen pictures. I was interested to
know if it would be mentioned in his reading, as it is
apparently within range of his present memory."

My father turned your letter under date of July 24, over
to me. I have read with interest and appreciation your
comments on various phases of the work.
With reference to your questions: (1) Was it the purpose
of the Captain's reading to give only those touching on his
present life? Our experience with the life readings leads
us to believe that only those incarnations as have a
particular bearing on the present life, if fact present
activities, are given. The point of view of the readings
seems to be one which tends to point toward the spiritual
development as the most important consideration in life.
The incarnations from which urges come that make this
development possible in our present environment are given
and it is frequently noted (though not in this reading)
that such incarnations do not by any means include all
those experienced by any soul. In the cases of children
it is advisable that a life reading be secured every seven
years as new incarnational urges are opened up as the body
and mind undergoes change and the will directs inclinations
and urges in this or that direction.
Question 2: Did you receive any other comments that you did
not send? You received an exact record of everything that
was given during the period of this reading. While we
consider that each reading is in itself are experiment being
undertaken with the individual member, we feel that you are
certainly entitled to receive everything that is given during
the period set for the reading. There have been times when
unusual material was given which apparently had no connection
with the body of the reading, but when such is the case an
explanation is made and a copy of the data forwarded.
