This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of November, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1223], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [1223], Mrs. [2454] and Lt. [2746].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the life existence in the earth plane of [1223], born October 21, 1906, in Troy, N.C., and the earthly existence of this entity as Tek-Le-On, in Egypt; being among those purified in the Temple of Sacrifice for the bringing into the world of a purer, a better race. You will give a biographical life of the entity in that day and plane of earthly existence, from entrance - and how - into the earth's plane, and the entity's departure, giving the development or retarding points in such an existence, and the influences from same in the present. You will answer the questions that may be asked.
2. EC: We are given the records here of that entity now known as [1223].
3. In giving a biographical account of the entity in the Egyptian experience as Tek-Le-On, it would be well that there be given for the entity - and much for the study of others - a background of the period; that there might be a more perfect understanding of the activities in the material sense in the earth's plane, of being purified in the Temple of Sacrifice for the propagation of a new race; also that it might be understood as to what are the sources of attraction to individuals with whom there may have been a connection in the material plane from experiences in the spiritual, - or the application of an individual entity to spiritual laws through an earthly existence in associations with others.
4. That entity, Tek-Le-On, was among the offspring of those who were entangled in matter, yet with a spiritual import; yet having blemishes in the body that kept them - as individuals - from their associations with those of the race represented by the Priest in that experience.
5. Thus we find the entity was a daughter of those who were the children of that group so enmeshed. In the early experience, when the body was first presented by the mother to the Priest, the entity was among the first of the individuals to be offered in the Temple, called the Temple of Sacrifice, as ones who might be dedicated to the activities according to the theory or idea of the Priest as to how individuals might be prepared for the incoming of a different type, or a more perfect stature of man.
6. As there were then those activities which brought about this change, these brought hardships for the entity through its early experience; not only in its separation from its people but in its being regulated by ideas of an individual who had only ideas - though these in the light of the results might even in the present day be considered near to ideal, from a scientific point of view; yet from the purely mental and spiritual view might be called barbarous by some in the present.
7. Because, the limbs of this entity formed those activities that were part beast of the field, as would be called in the present. This not only to the Priest but to those helpers at the time offered the first problems, as to how - through mechanical as well as natural law as to cause and effect - there might not be reproduced such blemishes in the offspring of the body.
8. Thus in the experience for the first time there was found the eradication of that indicated in the flesh of the animal, in the lower or hind limbs or legs, that does not exist in the human being. While the expression is different in different animals, the projection through spirit projecting in matter, through the periods of the evolution, had NOT brought about the change of this gland - that is still existent in the animal in the material kingdom.
9. This was removed from the body - this body - by the operators, with the Priest, in that early stage of that group's interpretation of nature, as related to God's creation of man as a representative of the Godhead, and as to what those of the kind had brought into existence.
10. These activities brought periods of disturbance, as these glands were removed and then the body was subjected to those relationships which would bring the determining factor as to whether or not there had been the selecting or the correcting of that which had been determined as the source of such variations.
11. Then these brought about those connections, associations and relations, that were to the entity abhorrent; until there WAS the reproduction that was perfect in body, as well as those that had not been intermingled with those of that phase of man's physical evolution.
12. Hence we find the close associations through that period of activity of the entity with those early actions that brought such a change in the race, or the peoples who were purified through the Temple, or the hospital, where - through their own volition - individuals were submitted for experimentation. However, it had not been the entity's own volition; yet this became the after development during the period, produced by the entity's own reactions when it aided others who later chose to be purified in that period of evolution, or change in relationships of groups in that particular period.
13. As to that which causes the attractions or detractions when individual entities meet in any experience, - it is because, as in body so in mind and spirit, like begets like. Where there has been the attraction in a given experience for individual activity that was creative in its nature, to bring a relationship of the individual entity or entities closer to the understanding of Creative Forces, or God, these are close and are attractions; and bring the closer relationships, seeking expression either in body or mind of Creative Influence in the relationships one to another.
14. Thus, as indicated in the relationships of this entity in that experience with the Priest, - there comes to the entity the periods of close attraction, others when there is almost a revulsion; as well as with other individuals with whom the entity experienced relationships through that particular period of its unfoldment.
15. As with the offspring there came the more perfect accord, so - as indicated for the entity in the present - its activity in the home, and with the unfoldment of the lives of those of its own offspring, there is brought the greater understanding, the greater concept of man's true relationship to the Creative Force as manifested in the way, the truth, the light.
16. The entity spent practically the whole period of the experience in service in or about the Temple of Sacrifice; only in the periods when there was the regeneration of the Priest the entity aided in establishing its OWN home, when the dedicating of the Priest's service, AFTER that experience, brought a greater interpreting of those attempts of the Priest and associates to change, or to give to individual entities the OPPORTUNITY of being channels where and through whom the Sons of the Creative Energies MIGHT manifest.
17. As would be judged by the present day standards, the entity lived to be quite an elderly person - as it was two hundred and ninety-eight years (298). In those periods of regeneration there was brought joy, throughout the latter portion of the entity's sojourn there.
18. Then, how may the entity use such information in its own experience today, as a practical aid?
19. Know that in patience, and in the consciousness that comes as indicated in those glimpses of relationship, there comes the growing in knowledge, in mercy, in grace, in peace.
20. Then, keep that in thine heart, even as the Mother of the Lord "pondered them and kept them in her heart."

22. (Q) How was I associated then with Ba-El-Or, now my daughter [2648]?
    (A) Among those whom the entity aided in their period of being purified in the Temple also.
23. (Q) With the younger daughter of the Priest Ra-Ta, now my daughter [2459]?
    (A) Then the entity's first child.
24. (Q) How can I best serve the Association for Research and Enlightenment?
    (A) As ye meditate upon those truths that applied in thy own experience have brought more joy, more happiness, more understanding, then manifest that in the associations with others. And as ye experienced in that period in Egypt, as ye brought about that it must be of the own volition, - so as ye present that which is good, let others act - do not persuade.
    Keep those things that have brought, do bring, the greater joy, in the interpreting of those laws in nature, in spirit.
    Know that love creates love, - hate, malice, jealousy, creates that.
    Keep in the way.
