This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of February, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [1223], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [1223] and Dorothea Deaton.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1223]; this we have had before.
3. As we find while there are many conditions that are very good, there's quite a variation from disturbances indicated here before. There are disturbances regarding which precautions should be taken.
4. We refer to the tendencies for lack of proper foods for the more perfect coagulation. These come primarily from the lack of elements in the assimilating system, a lacking in proper amount or quantities of the acids in the digestion and the amount of calcium in the blood flow or stream.
5. Thus the weaknesses or tendencies for the sinus and the throat to give the body constant irritation, as it were, or the feeling as of a very fine itching in throat or in the palate, or a tendency to wish to clear the throat from same.
6. All of these come from this lack of the proper balance of the circulation, as well as those indications of disturbances through the sphincter centers in the lower portion of the abdominal area or the alimentary canal.
7. These as we find will be corrected if there will be used Calcios about twice to three times a week, or one week take it twice, the next week take it three times, and so on - just the quantity as would be thinly spread on a whole wheat cracker and eaten. Keep this up regularly. Take this very slowly, so as to assimilate it as it is eaten - not just take it and chew it up as a cracker, but rather as something tasty that you would like to taste a long time. Let it assimilate with the gastric flow of the salivary glands and it will work much better with the gastric flow of the stomach. This would preferably be taken at the noon meal.
8. Take Acigest every other day for two weeks, then leave off for a week, take it again for two weeks, leave off two weeks and then take it again. This should be sufficient of the Acigest to change the balance in the chemical forces of the stomach. Take not quite a teaspoonful in raw milk, preferably at the evening meal - after or during the meal, and in the manner indicated.
9. For the conditions in the rectal area we would use an injection of oils prepared in this way:
10. Add 2 drops of Carbolic Acid to 1 ounce of Glycerine. Stir very thoroughly, preferably as with a mortise and pestle.
11. Then add 2 ounces of Usoline or Nujol, and stir thoroughly.
12. This should be sufficient for three usages, and use about ten days to two weeks apart. Inject into the rectum by using an ear syringe.
13. With these changes in the chemical forces and with the use of these, we should eliminate these conditions from the body.
14. This will also enable the properties that have been taken in the system as vitamins to react with the body much more favorably.
15. Do that.

17. (Q) Are these the only forces in the body that need attention at the present time?
    (A) This is what we would give at the present, for if these are kept balanced and the body doesn't work too much and will rest more, we will find we will begin to pick up in weight and feel better.
