This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of August, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - over telephone to Hugh Lynn Cayce, through Study Group #7 of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body. The conditions as we find are showing for improvements. There must be precautions taken in making for the proper coordinating of the gastric flows in the digestive system, and not allowing for the accumulations in the areas where the depressions and the repressions have caused the disturbances.
2. Be mindful of the diet; taking now more of the GENERAL diet, but making for that which is strengthening but tending for that which is for the activity through the alimentary canal.
3. Begin with now the doses of Milk of Magnesia to make for an alkalinity throughout the intestinal tract. Take about a tablespoonful for two days, each evening for two days.
4. Then the next evening take a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth with six drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin in same, stirred in a whole glass of water.
5. The next day take one tablespoonful of the Milk of Magnesia.
6. Rest then for five days from any of the general stimulants, but be mindful that the activities from the alimentary canal are kept, by the use even of the colonic irrigations.
7. Keep the body rather quiet, but we should be rid of these congestions.
8. A gentle massage - not of the packs again, unless the pains recur, but a gentle massage or the electrically driven vibrator over the spinal system will be helpful and allow for rest.

10. (Q) What causes shortness of breath?
    (A) The tendency for the stomach and the gastric flows to same to regurgitate, producing a pressure upon the diaphragm and the lower portion of the lung itself. Hence the alkalinizing and the absorptions that should pass through the system.
11. (Q) Why the pain across the back now?
    (A) This is more reflex than a direct condition. This is the strain gradually being eliminated. Make for those activities as given and all of these should soon disappear.

   Inflamed appendix - inflammation spread to left ovary - disorder, caused by above mentioned, throughout my entire system.

   Until all signs of the trouble disappeared

   To date I have not been bothered with my side at all. I feel better than before I was bothered with the trouble and am gaining weight.

   Dear Mr. Cayce:-
   Usually when I write it is either to invite you to a Group meeting or to thank you for speaking at one. This time however, I am writing for a different reason, one that I am very thankful for.
   Like every body else who has been benefitted and helped by the Group work and the readings I have been telling my Boss how absolutely foolish he has been to spend so much money on Doctors that have not helped him in the least. He is convinced that he has spent quite a bit, to no advantage.
   Just a day or so ago he asked that I write and make an appointment for a physical reading, therefore this letter. If you will either send me an application blank or just write a note letting me know what information you will want I will get it out to you right away as he is most anxious to have the reading.
   I do hope that all of you are feeling just fine. I have missed seeing you for the past few weeks and I trust that your absence was not due to illness.
