5/03/36 Letter from [
440] to EC: "...You may be interested to
learn that I have married a red headed beauty [
1244]. I
wonder sometimes if she is the one of whom you dreamed in
Arizona [March 1934] coming along on a horse while I was
lecturing on psychic phenomena. Do you remember? Will you
give her a life reading for me? She is at the address on
the letter-head almost all day except to shop. As she is to
have a baby [
1332] in several months, we would like to know
if it is to be a boy or girl, also if she should have normal
delivery or a Caesarian. This would mean that if you could
find time we would like a life reading for [
1244], also a
health reading and a third reading for the baby. I shall try
to scrape together some money to pay you but things are a
little different in that respect than they used to be so that
I have to ask you as a friend to do this for me..."
7/24/36 Mrs. [
255]'s letter: "[
440] married [
11/20/35]
without [
443] (his mother)'s knowledge."
REPORTS
9/14/36 Mr. [
440] wrote thanking EC for the first Life
Reading for Mrs. [
1244] & telling of baby son [
1332]'s
arrival: "Your kind offer to give him a Life Rdg. would be
more than appreciated by both Mrs. [
1244] and me."
3/07/37 Ltr. from [
440] to EC: "...I sincerely wish that I
might join for I am more than interested in psychic research,
but financial conditions of the family budget as a result of
a baby & a serious operation which my wife [
1244] had to
undergo a few weeks ago are to be deplored..."
6/54 GD's note: Mr. [
440] visited us in Virginia Beach with
his new wife. We don't know how long he had been separated
from [
1244].
4/28/71 Mr. [
440] visited Va. Beach and told GD he thought
his 2nd wife, with whom he had been very happy all these
years, more nearly fitted the description given in EC's
dream. He had remained on good terms with his first wife;
and his second wife and his first were, and still are, good
friends.
