(Q) Please explain the reaction of foods on my system.
(A) It's just been given! Those that require the bodily
foods - there are foods that require (as meats) acids for
their proper fermentation; while most of the foods as of the
vegetable forces, especially of the leafy nature, require
more of the slow combination of the lacteals' reaction or the
greater quantity of the combination of acid and alkaline.
Then if foods are taken in quantities that require an
alkaline for their digestion, an acid is in the system - this
produces improper fermentation. If foods are taken where
acid is necessary and it is not being produced by the system,
or not taken into the system in synthetic state, then these
produce the disturbances, see? See how the combinations of
these, then, make for the necessity of watching,
experimenting as it were with that which is good today and
may be bad tomorrow. For what would be poison for someone,
to another may be a cure. This is true in every physical
organism. And unless these balances are being cared for
properly, they produce disturbances.
(Q) Should I continue with all of the same treatments as
have been suggested?
(A) As has been indicated, this is well - if there are those
precautions as respecting the diet and the physical exercise
in the open.
(Q) Any further advice for the body at this time?
(A) This as we find, if it is adhered to, will bring the
bettered conditions for the body.
Do that.

REPORTS
9/17/37 [
1259]'s letter to GD:
"I am writing to ask if Mr. Cayce will take the battery I
have in payment for the $12.00 I owe him.
"I gave the battery and instructions a good trial but have
not had any benefits, in fact, I got much worse and had to
see a doctor. He found that I was very anemic and gave me
shots of liver extract. He said he thought a good bit of my
trouble was caused from that and I think a part of that was
caused from the diet I was on last fall.
"I feel sure the battery will be recommended in some of his
readings and he can dispose of it in that way.
"Will you please let me hear from you soon as I shall be
leaving the Beach soon." Thanking you, I am,
Sincerely yours, [
