10/01/36 Mr. [
1151]'s ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Arctic Crescent,
Virginia Beach, Virginia
My dear Mr. Cayce:
I have your letter of September 30th, and thank you for the
speed with which you answered our request for readings. Some
of the information was indeed unusual and quite interesting
to us.
Mrs. [
1158] has prepared and is sending to you certain
questions for check-reading on the two gentlemen. There has
developed, unfortunately, what could eventuate into a very
serious division between the two men, and we are doing
everything we can to avoid such a split. The information,
which is gained by us and which we hope to gain additionally
through you, will be unquestionably very beneficial in
avoiding ill will and in promoting a renewal of faith and
thus good will.
With [
1265] especially, the approach through a psychic
source, in my opinion, is the only approach. He believes in
reincarnation most definitely. In fact, he spent over a
million dollars on a play in New York, which was a miserable
failure, having to do with reincarnation, called "The
Ladder". He has a strange feeling that in a previous
incarnation he was Judas Iscariot. Apparently, the first
reading indicates that he was nothing of the sort, so it
would be helpful in checking to ascertain his actual function
with the possibility of the reason for his conclusion that he
was such person. When eventually I get my campaign
established to approach him, this information will constitute
a very valuable means for supporting certain conclusions that
I think I will have.
With Mr. [
1266], it may be different, but the chance may come
for him to read what has been presented, particularly if we
can demonstrate its worth with [
1265], so there is real
purpose in the research which you are undertaking.
I believe also it may be the opening wedge eventually of a
satisfactory interest in the Association, so that I believe
it would be most worth while to gain as much information as
possible about Mr. [
1265] and Mr. [
1266].
