1/05/37 EC's letter:
Dear Mr. [
417] and Mrs. [
1192];-
Many thanks for yours of the 23rd and the enclosure. My,
but every since the 23rd we have been busy, from one to four
calls most every day for emergency readings, that has kept us
not only busy but on the anxious seat; so I do not feel there
has been much of a Holiday. Call this morning about three
from Sister - Pa quite ill, and they seem unable to do much
with him unless I say so. They say this morning tho, he
is some better, but he is quite up in years to stand many
strains like that, and there appears to be the complication
of a heart trouble also, and of course he would never admit
of such a thing.
Do hope your Mother [
1278] is lots better. Mrs [
1192], were
you ever able to get the Brandy? Am sure tho you were, as we
have it here in the State stores.
All are fairly well here. Edgar Evans came home for the
Holidays. But my, he was in such a whirl of events! The
readings, I mean - that wonder if he feels he has been home,
- had one lady who came here to get a reading, stayed five
days and then had to leave without getting even a single one.
Will come back again later.
Well let us hear from you every chance. Hope Mr. [
417] has
gotten going before this, am sure tho he will be very soon,
if not already.
How is [
758]? Fine [I] hope, and trust you are feeling lots
better also.
With love to you both from all here
Sincerely [signed] Edgar Cayce
