Also we would use a rub about once a week, in the lumbar,
the sacral and along the spine - not too severely - with
Balsam of Sulphur. Do not have this compound too dry or yet
too wet with the linseed oil; for these are made by boiling
sulphur and linseed oil, necessarily in a double boiler or
container, see? or else there will be fires from same.
Precautions in the preparation of this are necessary, but
are understood by those of the laboratory where such may
be prepared. Massage this particularly in the sacral,
the lumbar and along the axis - or at the brachial plexus,
through portions of the cervical area (not the whole length,
but where there are the tendencies in the cerebrospinal
system for there to be a staid condition). The lower limbs
at times, as under the knees, as on the feet. But this
massaged so that there is the effect of same absorbed by
the disturbed superficial circulation.
The Fume Baths, you see, would be given two or three times
a week; one time with the Wintergreen, the other with the
Tincture of Iodine or full-strength atomic iodine (or
Atomidine).
Use also each day for thirty minutes the Wet Cell Appliance
carrying Gold as a vibratory force for the body. The
attachments would be made in this manner:
With the body sitting erect, not lying down prone (unless the
plates are made so they may be attached tersely to the body),
the smaller plate would be attached first - at the 4th lumbar
center; while the larger plate - through which the Chloride
of Gold solution passes (in the proportion of two grains to
one ounce of distilled water) - would be attached last, to
the umbilicus and lacteal duct plexus, or covering that area
where the gall duct, the liver and the emptying of the system
of the food values into the jejunum begins - a span from the
navel center or plexus toward the right side, see?
Attach this for thirty minutes each day.
Do the others as has been indicated.
Continue these for the full period of the strength of the
Appliance - twenty-eight to thirty days.
Then we would give further instructions.
In the matter of the diets: Here we need body-building foods
but those that tend to be more alkalin-producing than acid.
For the natural inclinations of disturbed conditions in a
body are to produce acidity through the blood stream. Hence
we need to revivify same by the use of much of those that
produce more of the enzymes, more of the hormones for the
blood supply; yet not overburdening the body with those
unless the balance in the vitamin forces is carried.
Hence as we will find, not heavy foods or fried foods ever,
nor combinations where there are quantities of starches or
quantities of starches with sweets taken at the same time.
But fish, fowl or lamb preferably as the meats. The leafy
vegetables preferably to the tuberous, though certain
tuberous ones are necessary - as the artichoke, both as to
the bulb and the root, for the very effect of the phosphorous
for the system. The oyster plant, but these prepared with
not too much butter - but a little cream. These especially
carry elements that are the more easily assimilated by the
body.
The enzymes in the Ventriculin WITH Iron, this taken only
a level teaspoonful every other day with the proper diets
should be the more preferable.
Ready for questions.
(Q) How long before I may see results?
(A) In the period as indicated, until we find changes;
though there may be times when there will appear some
inflammation. But if these are followed we shall find
days when the body will feel much better, and then days,
of course, when there will be the reversal. But follow
these consistently. And when the changes come, there will
be given those things necessary for the building up then.
(Q) Where would be the best place to follow these
treatments?
(A) As indicated, in a sympathetic environ. As we find,
these may be had, of course - the rubs and the baths - at
the Reilly Institute; while the Appliance may be taken at
home of an evening which is the best for the body. Also
the rubs with the Balsam of Sulphur may be had at the Reilly
Institute if they have these prepared outside of same - Eimer
& Amend.
(Q) Should the adjustments in the coccyx be made at
Reilly's?
(A) These are not adjustments, these are merely lifting.
The adjustments are not to be made until there has been a
relaxing sufficiently of the body to prevent this STAYING
of segments along the spine.
(Q) Should this treatment be given also at Reilly's?
(A) This may be given also there, else we would have changed
it! There will be others that will be necessary outside of
these, but these for the first twenty-eight to thirty days.
We are through for the present.

been followed in toto for the period indicated, so we may
make appointment for a Check Reading.)
BACKGROUND
12/08/36 She phoned questions for emergency reading.
"So far doctors cannot do anything for me."
REPORTS
12/09/36 [
257]'s ltr. to EC: "...Reilly was very, very put
out that he was not notified either by phone or by letter
of your being in N.Y. He had an English woman and her
husband here by the name of [...]. He is Vice-pres. of ...
Insurance - another [
4974] case. I am to see her at Hotel
... on Monday for lunch to tell her about you. I'll write
later...
"[
750] is the one who told the Englishwoman about you and
she called me today. Her daughter will marry an American -
they are very high socially - we are invited to England and
Switzerland and France so far - so get ready - we will make
the trip some of these days..."
12/11/36 Mrs. [
1302]'s letter thanked EC for the reading,
saying: "The healer I had in England, Mrs. Harvey, used
Wintergreen on my back and I was much benefited but she
warned me against heat and hot baths as they take away my
strength and my body needs building up. Mrs. Harvey gets
all her power or information from guides on the other side."
12/15/36 "Dr. Reilly says it is impossible to have the vapor
treatments here (in the hotel?) - I can have his brother
(Patrick Reilly) give me massage with Sulphur Balsam which
he gave me last night. I had Wintergreen before because my
healer, Mrs. Harvey, gave it to me."
12/17/36 "The Sulphur Balsam is lovely and does so much good.
He says he cannot give me the heat baths as time is so short,
but I can get them in Palm Springs... I will keep Dec. 22nd
free for my Life Rdg."
