7/07/37 Mrs. [
1337]'s letter: "Am writing regarding my
brother-in-law, [
1305]. Much time has elapsed and there have
been changes for the better. They have discontinued the
physician. Mr. [
1305] is able to walk, with assistance,
around the block. He goes for a long auto ride daily, his
mind is clear, but he does not speak. They were moving
to ... (to my folks) because they are unable to keep up the
expense, but today they went to Ann Arbor, Mich. to the
University Hospital to consult with a well known physician
who told them upon examination that he thinks he can re
educate Mr. [
1305] to talk. He says that he has had other
similar cases which he treated successfully. This is the
questions we want to ask. Can the information tell what the
possibilities are for Mr. [
1305] to regain his speech by the
physician's method of re-education? or according to the past
readings should the methods prescribed in previous readings
be followed now. Is the possibility still there or are there
other treatments?"
