This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 16th day of January, 1937, in accordance with request made by the parents, through Mr. [437], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: Yes, as we find, as has been indicated, the conditions while represented in pathological reactions arise from that which is at times called a karmic condition.
2. Hence they become psychological and metaphysical as well. Thus in bringing any permanent relief for the incoordinations that exist in the physical forces of this body, must include activities of those that are responsible for the physical manifestation of the body, the mind, the soul in the present of [1314].
3. That in the formations through the physical functioning there are adherences in the tissue in body that prevents the nominal or normal reaction through the sensory reactions of the body is apparent.
4. That these conditions arise from associations and activities of all associated in same is not apparent, yet must be taken into consideration in activities for helpful applications; else we will find the last estate - in the PHYSICAL reactions in the present - worse than the first.
5. Much might be given as respecting this association, and a pattern of same may be seen in the selling of Joseph into Egypt; used for a saving of those to whom the promise was given. And the same here may be applicable if there will be the whole of the influence applied in the manner as may be and as is indicated from the pathological, the psychological and the metaphysical conditions IN the minds, the purposes, the desires of all.
6. In the physical forces (pathologically) we find the lacteals, as related to the assimilation and the activities in the body of the glandular forces as create the blood supply, as create the elemental factors in the activity of the system, inactive in some, overactive in others.
7. First then in making material applications:

Across the areas of the lacteal ducts, the spleen, the pancreas, the liver, the caecum, we would apply Castor Oil Packs to alleviate those tendencies for tissue in the area to adhere and thus create at times the spasmodic reaction to the nervous system itself. These should be applied hot but not so hot as to injure, to be sure, the bodily functions. They should be changed about every hour for periods of two to three days, rest a week and then begin again.
9. During the whole periods, each evening - as the applications of the Radio-Active Appliance are made, during the thirty minute period of this application to the extremities of the body - let the parents, in meditation over and with the body as it begins its slumber, give these:

11. "THE FATHER OF LIGHT AND MERCY AND TRUTH, CREATE IN THIS BODY THAT AS WILL BRING THE PERFECT COORDINATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BODY ITSELF, THAT THE SOUL MAY MANIFEST IN A PERFECT BODY.

13. "THANKING THEE FOR THY MERCY, FOR THY CARE, FOR THY LOVE, THIS WE OFFER IN HUMBLENESS OF THY NAME, O GOD!"
14. These continued daily, these brought into the daily application with others, with thy care, with thy love, will bring help, hope and understanding to all.

16. (Q) Do you mean to keep the Castor Oil Packs on the body constantly for two to three days at a time, both night and day?
    (A) For two to three days at a time, then rest for a week, then begin again.
    Then the normal eliminations, the normal applications as have been indicated for the physical forces of the body, keep.
    These words of the prayer keep earnestly day by day, at the same periods that there is the application of those vibratory forces in the body, as are set in motion by the reaction of those influences created in the Radio-Active Appliance - which will bring, does bring, UNISON to the body, to the mental forces, to the nerve energies of all.
