TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1315]; this we have had before.
3. There are many changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here. Some are for improvements; others show disturbing conditions that may become aggravating unless measures are taken to correct them.
4. These are conditions as we find them in the present, [1315] we are speaking of:
5. The blood supply indicates that there is an incoordination between the eliminating systems of the body. Thus those disturbances and weaknesses that arise in the body recuperating in the present, from the present conditions. This also causes a tendency for a rash under the skin, and some conditions - as in neck and face - where light blemishes occur at times. This incoordination, as we find, is the lack of proper diet as well as the effect that has been produced between the liver and the kidneys, or the activity of the alimentary canal with the respiratory system.
6. These, as we find, are the greater disturbances in the present.
7. We would use the hydrotherapy treatments in the present. These should include particularly the hot and cold water, alternately, over the body; followed by a thorough rubdown with a combination of oils prepared in this manner:
8. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil, or Nujol, as the base, add - in the order named:

   Witchhazel......................1 1/2 ounces,
Peanut Oil..........................2 ounces,
Oil of Sassafras Root.............1/2 ounce,
Lanolin, dissolved................1/4 ounce.

These, to be sure, will separate, but shake together, pour in an open container (as a saucer or dish) and dip fingers in same, massaging this thoroughly into the body; at the same time making some adjustments in especially the area between the shoulders to the nape of the neck and in the lower area of the 9th and 10th dorsal.
9. These as we find, then, with diets:
10. As indicated, there should be the refraining from any carbonated waters, or those things that tend to make for gas in the digestive system.
11. Do take, at least three time a week, at least half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth with five drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin stirred with same in half a glass of water.
12. In the diet, refrain from any fats; and such as rice, potatoes or macaroni. These tend to make for an unbalanced force in the digestive system in the present. These foods may be taken mildly a little later, when these corrections have been made and have had their effects upon the general eliminating system.
13. Occasionally a colonic irrigation will also aid; especially in those periods following a week - that is, the two or three times - of taking the dosage internally of the Bismuth.
14. These as we find will bring bettered conditions for the body.
15. Do wear a support; this preferably of a nature that holds the abdomen thoroughly in place, until there is the full or complete healing where there have been operative measures.
16. Do these for the better condition of this body, [1315].
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) Why do I get a slight pain in my side where the operation was, after I've been sitting a while and want to move about?
    (A) This is lack of proper coordination in the circulation, as we have indicated. This makes for the tired condition, as well as the irritation in the superficial circulation. The hot and cold, and the massage, and especially with the corrections and with those properties taken internally as given, will correct these disturbances, - if consistently taken.
19. (Q) What should I do to reduce my stomach?
    (A) The diet, as well as the massages, will aid in this direction.
20. (Q) Do I need a strict diet?
    (A) Only as indicated. This may appear very strict at times; refraining from fats AND too much starches, see?
21. (Q) What liquor is good for me?
    (A) Not any is very good for the body, but the light wines or the red wines might be better taken.
22. (Q) Why does one sip of a cocktail or rye affect me quickly?
    (A) This is owing to the condition of the gastric juices of the stomach, and the incoordination as indicated between the liver, kidney and superficial circulation. These had best be taken very moderately, but no strong liquors or carbonated drinks should be taken.
23. (Q) What causes my skin eruption on my face?
    (A) As has been indicated.
24. (Q) Any local application for same?
    (A) Quite a bit of local application over the whole body has been indicated, but not any direct local application to face - if those things suggested are adhered to.
    Do that.
25. (Q) Do I need vitamin tablets?
    (A) Not until there has been better coordination produced in the elimination system; else we will find these will work to that of inconvenience or hardships, rather than helpful forces for the body. Later there may be taken A and D, especially.
26. (Q) Last year I went to Dr. Green, 128 Central Park So., NYC, to reduce. He prescribed several colored pills, and I was very successful. Shall I continue to take them now, and diet?
    (A) When there has been the establishing of better conditions, these may be taken with impunity. DO NOT take them until there are better conditions in the general eliminations, and coordination between the superficial and deeper circulation, and the alimentary canal, the kidneys and the superficial conditions are better. Then, if desired, these may be taken.
27. We are through for the present.
