Then, to give the better conditions and to bring the normal
state in this physical body, we would take particular care to
the diet of the body, and correct, better by osteopathic
forces, on account of the tissue that needs strengthening
through manipulation, but correct through osteopathic forces
the lesions and conditions in the central dorsal region (6th,
7th, 8th, 9th, 10th dorsals), correcting and stimulating the
secretions and the excretions of the digestive system, taking
plenty of water at all times in the system, keeping this, as
it were, flooded with water, both for weight and necessity of
supplying nutriment to the intestinal system.
The diet, little meat, save the juices of same, which should
be prepared at least once each day, preferably from pure
fresh beef, and only the juices taken. Green vegetables,
such as spinach or kale, and lettuce, carrots, peas; all in
small quantities. Not too much sugars, but Bulgarian Milk
may be given. Honey and honeycomb may be taken, preferably
with whole wheat breads rather than with white bread; being
consistent, persistent, with the watchfulness in diet and
preventing clogging or poisons from being assimilated through
foods or feces lying too long in system. When necessary for
properties to flush system, use Bi-So-Dol rather than acid
salines.
Do this and we will bring the normal conditions to this body.
Necessary there be at least five to six treatments
osteopathically.
(Q) What would be the dose of Bi-So-Dol for this body?
(A) Teaspoonful. Not taken regularly but only when
necessary. When diet is watched properly it will not be
necessary, except when first starting.
(Q) What fruits may be eaten by this body?
(A) Oranges or pears. No others at the present time.
BACKGROUND
4/07/25 Mother [
1690]'s letter: "I am worried about my little
girl, [
1352], who had typhoid fever last August. She has
never seemed well since and continually complains of being
so tired and is thin."
4/12/25 "Please tell me what she should eat. Her stomach and
bowels don't work properly."
REPORTS
5/25/25 Mother [
1690]'s letter: "The first 3 weeks she
showed improvement and then just would not eat the things
that she should, and from the first complained of beef juice
burning her mouth. I bought 3 quarts of Bulgarian milk, she
drank that, but got tired of it, so last week she had fever 3
or 4 days and nights, ulcers in mouth, gums very red and
swollen up around her teeth, could hardly talk or eat. She
is better now but mouth still very sore... I feel that
things haven't been carried out exactly right or she wouldn't
be in this condition. Still I feel that I have done the best
I could. She is painfully hard to handle with her diet. I
had Dr. Beard, the osteopath, to read the diagnosis and she
gave her 9 treatments. Now, if you will, I would like for
you to tell me if the osteopath treatments were given
correctly, if the beef juice was prepared right, and if the
rest of her diet was given alright, if not what is the
trouble, and what should be the treatment and diet now?"
